I know they mentioned it right after they won but it seems to have flown over everybody's head. The message has not been spreading even among British fans

Silly Brits! lol

I think its going to get a lot of work, the BBC have put a reasonable amount of effort into a NF and I think they will go all out on the revamp.. get a few decemt producers on board and things. I dont think it will be remotely similar to the one that won EYD..

Whatever happens people will always complain.. if the UK sent Adele people would complain "ooh this is so depressing" "her worst song, just pulled out of a draw because its eurovision" the UK fans are NEVER happy no matter what. Even a win would bring complaints lol

I on the other hand am happy with the selection and I think the new version will be great! stop your bitching, get over it, its a good song performed by people who can sing which is better than most of the UK entries this century

Has it officially been confirmed there is a revamp though? all there is to go on is one of them declaring they will continue to work on and improve the song after they were announced as winners.

Well I admit I jumped to conclusions and assumed "work on and improve the song" meant working on the song itself (fine tuning, making it better, etc.) but knowing the Brits luck they could have simply meant their stage performance

And since we haven't heard anything else about it I'm starting to assume the worst

 They'd probably make it worse than before with a revamp anyway. If it's just the staging they're focusing on, then it's going to have to be something very good to help lift the song, sadly staging is one of our strong sides.

This!

And actually to me, the song does not need "improvements", it was fine as it was and it won the public's endorsement. Perfecting live performances, yes, but I'm not really a fan of fiddling about with the chosen song. Unless there is a major change I don't think alterations make a blind bit of difference to how a song will perform in May.

How soon is soon?

Don't you just hate how vague they can be. Is soon meaning today? or does it mean in the next few days? and i'm interested to see what they've done if it's only taken a week (not that I know how long these things usually take).

I seem to remember them saying that each of the six acts had a music video recorded, but I might be imaging it.

I would imagine there will be changes and a concept added considering the team backing them.

I hope they improve the sounds in the arrangement, because that's the thing that made me unvote my 10 and afford my 12 points... The song is very simple but I just LOOOOOVE the general feel. Unfortunately this song is better enjoyed listened to through the headphones... when live, it falls a bit flat.

I can't believe so many ppl find this "meh" oder "bad" or "not good at all". It's the best song this year. The tune is catchy and the boys are cute (though I could almost be their mother). ;)

oh wow. That's a development, didn't think they would get signed. They'll probably be dropped when they flop. xshifty

I know Molly was signed as well, so I wont read too much into this.

I remember Molly going to Sweden right after the entry reveal to record music for an album. Did she actually release anything because I don't remember anything

You know for an artist that was unknown and suddenly thrust into the spotlight with lots of attention on her she spent more time hidden in the studios then appearing in public getting her face and name out there xfacepalm

Well she went to Glastonbury festival and was able to perform there, even when the power cut out in a storm. I haven't personally heard or seen ought on an album, but she posted a few potato quality covers of random songs and an acoustic version of 'Children of the Universe' around her time in Glasto. I follow her on Instagram and she hasn't posted anything to do with music apart from one to do with Writing some songs in Morocco while showcasing some of the random hippy fashion she's so in to, but that was about Summer time last year.

She went top 40 with the song in the UK. So hopefully we can have this happen with this years entry too :)

I think that was because our entry wasn't complete and utter crap for once. as well as the fact the BBC had promoted her for eurovision as a winner so people were slightly more interested, but yes let's hope it will happen again this year.
