I think it's fine. Is it a bad song? No not all all. Is it a winning song? Definitely not but it's decent, safe and rather current considering. I thought there were three 'safe' choices for mid table mediocrity, but this has grown on me a lot since last night.

Obviously it's quite hard to say they're going to be bad performers because of how dreadful the stage was on top of the camera work but I do think there's some potential there, and the guys seem pretty enthusiastic and capable live singers. Let's see if the BBC have realised that a tightly worked live performance is vital. I think the two drummers works, and a lightshow in the style of Finland 2014, but then I'm sure the BBC could find a way to ruin it with poor, static camera work.

I've been singing the song all day after only one listen - that can't be a bad thing

I have to say thought....the name of Joe and Jake is a bit...well, boring. JJ would have been cheesy but better as a talking point in order to get to know them better.

Alex from EV was on Sky News talking Eurovision he mentioned that Bianca has had a very hard time over the last year as a result of the abuse/hate she received, and that she's even stopped singing.

Perhaps a reminder for any haters, J&J should be treated with the same respect whatever the May result!

This kind of pop/rock was modern back in 2004-2005 ..

That's very sad to hear actually. I feel sorry for her that she's suffered all this abuse from people and felt forced to stop following what she loves doing most.

I'm curious, was there ever a UK entry that wasn't your number 1? I can remember you giving 12 points to EV in your signature last year too.
When I saw that, I couldn't help but think that you are just fulfilling your "patriotic duty". ;)

Haha of course it is my patriotic duty ;)

But yeah Electro Velvet was my favourite until the night itself, then it dropped by about 15 places after the live performance  I love that kind of music as cheesy it is, I loved Miss Kiss Kiss Bang from Germany too :p Molly was my second favourite in 2014 after Poland but again she dropped dramatically with the live. As for others, hmm well Andy Abraham was my least favourite of all the entries in 2008... and the UK was not anywhere near top in 2010 either ;)

Darline should have won for these hand gestures alone. I hope they can release some more music or at least try again next year. xhiixcrossed

Meh. This is not bad and I really appreciate the effort after what UK sent last year, but I don't think this song will make the difference. It will get unnoticed between a lot of stronger entries. 5 points.

The thumbnail made me think it'd be folk.... this is really more of a boy-band thing, but with some folk influence, i'm not exactly enthusiastic but it might grow on me somewhat, with the abysmal level of songs this year so far i'd say this is one of the better, but that's all i'm ready to say for now.
