It dosen't matter what they wear... as long as their coinfidence, if they are singing good, if they are full of happiness... Nothing else matters!!!... Yeah, You might think I'm just rambling in the night... but look at the winners and losers. The winners had coinfidence. The loosers lack coinfidence... No matter WHAT their song or show was about....

Well, I think we'll have to agree to disagree there. Outfit can be very important, and confidence isn't everything.

I do worry that their nerves could get him to them, also. Whilst they did look pretty confidence in the rehearsal, Joe in particular was shaking the other day on UK TV when he was being interviewed and looking out live at the Semi Final.

I hope not!

It's funny that SVT gave UK such a late slot, but sorted that by putting them between a very bubbly song with growing momentum, and an absolute beast of a song in Armenia. We'll see how that affects the odds.

Just watched the whole semi final performance and very impressed. Easily the best staging we've had for the UK since I've been watching Eurovision, the stage and lighting looks fantastic, and the boys vocals were on point. Just a few camera angles need to be sorted out and it'll be brilliant.

As for the slot, #25 is a good position, although being just before Armenia is not too great. But the songs aren't in any way similar so I'm not fretting too much about that.

I am so happy that I ignored all the haters and supported J&J right from the beginning. I was shocked at some of the almost vitriolic hatred towards them in the beginning, now J&J have become popular it's totally amusing to see them all jumping on the J&J bandwagon, talk about having no credibility. Anyway, J&J have put a lot of effort into this, I knew they would do us proud, and they will have done no matter what the result is - they've proven that you don't need a superstar to have a talented singer and good song. As it happens, I'm feeling very relaxed and quietly confident about the voting on Saturday, and I think Joe & Jake are too.

I would just like to say as one of those haters at the start...my opinion has never changed. While the staging somewhat improved the whole package, I think the song itself is utterly rotten and will get shown up big style by the entries around it.

But I hope the UK get a decent mid-table result so they continue with a big NF next year and hopefully better acts are willing to take part. They are on the right track, I just felt they picked the wrong song.

Who knows though? This final is crazy difficult to predict, so they could still do very well.

I think it's a good draw... Austria will set the tone and I'd rather we go before Armenia than after. Also with Denmark and Ireland gone it's the only guitar-driven pop song left (and the best of the 3 by far in my opinion)... I don't think anyone in Team UK is getting carried away, but top half of the score board would be very nice, and a top ten would be amazing... We're not in it to win it, but we're in it to do well :)

As a side note I think the running order is very interesting... No one seems to be really really favoured by it at all? I'd say maybe Armenia came out best?

Hopefully the draw will help them. Austria before is not the worst and it could stand out after Zoe and Armenia is far away from UK song. Not sure if the same people who like Armenia like UK and other way round?

A good draw i think/hope. This needs to be top 10 and it looks like the performing goona to be good x12sxheat

I will vote for you (if i love your performing) xhug

As I said a few days ago, I do worry that the nerves could get them. I dunno if you saw their interview on BBC 4 on Tuesday, but Joe in particular seemed really nervous just looking out onto the crowd at the Semi Final.

I hope it goes well for them :(

They sounded great, but the one on the guitar didn't perform his best. That's what I heard.

Finally Joe & Jake! xheart Love their song, catchy and radio-friendly, and the staging is brill - very colourful and the pyros will look great - it fits them perfectly.

They've done us proud, praying they get a result deserving of their hard work and effort! Go boys! :D :uk:

Final Verdict
:uk:
12 points
Position I want: Runner-up
Position I think: 12th

They should get rid of Graham and make Mel and Scott the main commentators. They are so much more vibrant than Graham, who is rather grating.

I was thinking that as well, as much as I do like Graham. Graham would be perfect host if we had it, but Mel and Scott do carry the Eurovision feel and atmopshere better.

That said, I do think Graham Norton does embrace it and feel generally excited... at times at the start it felt like he was doing his best Terry Wogan impression, which I do not like.

I get the impression that Graham's commentary is holding the public's view on the contest back slightly. Mel and Scott make it feel less like a cheesy, campy and pretentious party and more like a fun, respectable music festival. I mean yes they do joke about it but it's all within the nature of the contest. They're actually funny. Mel has been an excellent addition to the 'Eurovish' team and it wouldn't surprise, nor disappoint, me if they did end up replacing Graham.
