I'm not surprised that the UK public are liking Malta's entry a lot, it does sound quite British in a way (like Chase & Status). I think I said last week it's possible the UK jury could give 12 points to Malta this year, they gave them 12 points in 2014 and that Maltese entry sounded quite British too.

There is no doubt we'll give Malta a good load of points, we've always had a tendency towards them, they're the George Cross island.

I don't think we politically favour Malta, I think it's more that they send songs which are quite 'British', like Tomorrow by Gianluca or Coming Home by Mumford and Sons FireLight.

I remember in 2014 my local news (on ITV, just to say) made a huge deal out of Firelight having connections to the region and gave the song big promo. The only foreign entry that year (and every year) to really get any real promotion here to the public. I feel like that would have helped them votes from the region, albeit a small amount. They were always going to do well with us in 2014.

A decent contribution from United Kingdom this year. The sound is sweet and harmless feelgood.

But looking at the rehearsals it's really distracting that one of the guys is a much better dancer than the other. Are they meant to be in sync? Probably not, because they really aren't. Joe's got pretty decent moves, but Jake's a mess. That needs to be better in the final.

What's with the 'we'? I'm guessing you're not really Russian from Irkutsk, now are you?

UK voters really do favour Malta, not as much as Ireland or, for some reason, Lithuania, but the Maltese always get something from the British voters.

There is a significant Lithuanian diaspora in the UK. That's why Lithuanian songs are doing well in the televoting.

Isn't it....interesting how people are now jumping on the JJ bandwagon despite ranking them 40-43rd, or 6th out of the Big 5+Sweden only a month ago? Don't you just love how fickle ESC fans are?

This sounded and looked really promising!

I'm... not sure. I feel like they've got the outfits totally wrong. The selfies thing and the lights look pretty cool... but dark leather jackets? Its a bit meh. They should have had bright jackets or something.

These lads can sing for sure. They enjoy being on the stage, but I still believe this song is not offensive enough to end on a good rank on saturday night...

I didn't notice it, so it didn't bother me. The singing was good and I like their energy on stage! I think the UK will get a good result.

The audience´s cheering for them was the loudest of the three prequalifiers. Before it, Czech commentator even said something like "These are Joe and Jake from the UK, wait for the reaction they will get." Which probably means that it already happened during rehearsal. That is a good sign. Björkman must be furious.

It dosen't matter what they wear... as long as their coinfidence is showing, if they are singing good, if they are full of happiness... Nothing else matters!!!... Yeah, You might think I'm just rambling in the night... but look at the winners and losers. The winners had coinfidence. The loosers lack coinfidence... No matter WHAT their song or show was about....
