Özlem Tekin? seriously? anyway; I doubt Aylin Aslim will ever want to go to Eurovision because she is pretty old (over 35 I assume) and she has a leftist anti-system stance, you know. Şebnem Ferah got invitation a few times but she rejected all of them (which I think was a good decision because she doesn't really belong to such a platform anyway)

Ayşe Saran could be. I mentioned Seher because she is a new fresh and I think that she would like to show herself in Eurovision. I always say; we should not view Eurovision as a platform where the "best" and "most popular" singers gather, but as an opportunity for new and young singers to show themselves. There is no point in sending über famous singers who have proved themselves already. I believe it also brings a bad luck to them; see what happent to Mor ve Otesi, MaNga, Kenan Dogulu etc. after Eurovision.

-There is no choosing a Girl for ESC (after the HADİSE )
After that they are not taking a part of ESC
And After they are not broadcasting to ESC (Semi+Final)

I HATE TRT .... I want to say There are a lot of words&things but nothing change ! because we are under their fckn dictatory !

We all live in Turkey, but of course some people are extremely sickened with all those arbitrary decisions by the ruling party and thus overreact about anything associated with them.

AKP is an authoritarian-leaning party, not a dictatorial one. And if TRT was that religiously motivated then they wouldn't send a Jewish last year. Also it was the same TRT that chose Hadise. I don't really understand why TRT is blamed for being sexist because it has sent male singers just for a few years but not Ukraine. People are very female-centric.

Difference between Turkey and Ukraine is that Ukraine has national final which means public chooses the song. In Turkey, this is not the same. Everything is up to TRT's own decision.

Another difference is that Ukraine practically have no good and talented male pop acts, and their actual good male acts (mostly rock groups) have zero interest in taking part in ESC, while they have alot of great female acts that are showing interest in ESC.

In Turkey as you say the choice is 100% internal, but there are many good female acts in Turkey aswell... I doubt all of them are uninterested in ESC?

On the other hand can't it be just a coincidence? just three years in a row. I'm sure TRT would have sent a female artist if we participated this year. In 2011 they were planning to send Şebnem Ferah but she unexpectedly rejected that's why they hastily chose Yüksek Sadakat. Next year they wanted to play to the tribunes with a social/political message sending a Jewish singer.

I think they were not even aware of the fact that they had not send a female singer in a row.

Well, I dunno what to think... some say it's for religious/political reasons, others argue that it's just coincidences...

The only thing I remember is how they forced Hadise to change her promo video in 2009 because they thought it was too "sexual" ...

Well; that was a speculation which TRT and Hadise's manager rejected.

Of course they would reject it, you honestly think they would admit it if true?

Why wouldn't they? they could say that the clip was unmoral. Above all Hadise would not remain silent.

Of course she would, she was probably under contract with TRT and afterall they had chosen her so...

One thing I learned in my life is never trust politicians, media and famous people...

During the Eurovision process maybe; but it's been years and Hadise would say anything later at the least. Her clip being rejected because it was "immoral" would be like an insult to her; she would not remain silent.

Depends on what type of person she is. Is TRT influential in Turkey? I mean are they having music shows and stuff where artists can promote themselves? If that's so, then obviously she would continue be quiet about it.

You're really pushing it too far. Hadise has already proved herself. And no TRT does not organize popular music shows.

I'm not pushing anything too far, I'm just curious and I'm the type of person that always questions things xshrug

I see, well couldn't another broadcaster take over responsibility for Turkey in ESC now that TRT seems uninterested?

I would love to see 4 Yüz as respesenter of Turkey :D but so bad they are not working together anymore since ends of 2009.

Not my really taste but they have exactly Eurovision style. They could shake all Europe.

Actually I feel more like you're the type of person who always jumps into any claims that serve a certain agenda of yours straight away without searching if there is a grain of truth about them, but anyway, no need to distract the topic.

Since TRT is the only public/state channel in Turkey, there is no such a chance if it's true that private channels can not be a member of the EBU.
