Actually I feel more like you're the type of person who always jumps into any claims that serve a certain agenda of yours straight away without searching if there is a grain of truth about them, but anyway, no need to distract the topic.

Since TRT is the only public/state channel in Turkey, there is no such a chance if it's true that private channels can not be a member of the EBU.

Believe what you want xshrug

Well, that's not true because for instance TV4 here in Sweden is a member of EBU, and they're a private channel.

Ah, yea, your signature featuring a political figure is so relevant anyway.

haha... "Peace at home, peace in the world" is my favorite quote from Ataturk which has nothing to do with politics, sorry. . It reflects my attitude to life. ;) I generally tend not to comment on politic issues and what you said was irrelevant to this topic. at least, to me it was.

I know the quote has; but the man who said it is a political figure which is irrelevant in a music forum. Actually I don't really mind but I had to point it out since you accused me of going politics.

I never thought in that way. I just expect people to look at the content and get the message behind that quote.. :? I never accused you btw. I just stated what you were doing. anyway, we better not discuss it further. :)

Tired of suggesting it every year; but let the tradition continue:

I believe that will happen one day with this great synergy from me.

You know that we shouldn't send another male artist next time, right?

This makes me sick...

On the internet, everywhere is full of comments of hating to homophobic Turkish public, especially under Finland's song. Yes TRT did not broadcast the show on TVs but please, Europe, please leave the idea of Turkish people are homophobic like Arabic countries, just please. I am sick of that comments so badly. Well, Turkey has a lot of homophobic people, I can't refuse that. But Turkey is so crowded country with 72,500,000 population. As much as homophobic, we also have homo-lover people as well. Last summer we had a protest in Taksim/İstanbul, there were banners like "I am mother of gay", "I am daddy of gay", "LGBT, Hetero don't matter, we are together". I was in protest as well. We have so huge heart with accepting every kind of people in Turkey. Don't payback government's acts to public. As a lesbian girl, I am against that stupid comments. Islamic impression pushes people to homophobia but we are not compulsory Muslim country. Constitution says Turkey is secular and doesn't have any religion. Bigot people (especially eastern) bring country to that point but like I said before, Turkey has every kind of people inside, homophobic, bigot, innovator, gay. I would love to see every single European to show life in İstanbul. I am proud of being lesbian and having girl friends in pubic!

I've heard some rumours that TRT will finally leave the EBU, hopefully true.

you're glad your country won't compete again in ESC , xthink

Well, in the case of TRT's leaving EBU, it'll be possible for other channels in Turkey to take over the contest and Turkish ESC fans do want to see that happening as they believe other channels will definetely do better than TRT.

Pretty much this.

In that case; I think Kanal D and Star TV would be interested in taking over.

Several broadcasters can be members of EBU in the same time. In France, we have 3 different TV brands in EBU, which means that almost 10 different channels could broadcast ESC ! So actually, they could take over the contest just now, so they have to apply the soonest possible ! :)

Hmm, isn't it possible already? I mean more channels (in any country) than one can be members of EBU at once, so if TRT isn't in ESC anymore, any other EBU member channel could possibly enter instead xshrug, TRT doesn't have to leave EBU for other Turkish channels to be able to enter the union. But maybe there's some contract between EBU and TRT that makes TRT sole responsible for ESC in Turkey as long as they'll stay EBU member xshrug But then, since TRT isn't showing interest any longer... I think EBU are probably open for new channels.

Let's hope TRT will leave and a fresh channel allowing booty-shaking hotties, females and males on stage, take over! xcheer
