For what purpose do you comment crap like this?

To prove once and for all that he hates you, Melodifestivalen, the Nobel Prize, and IKEA.

This song has the dubious honour of being my least favourite Swedish entry of the 21st Century. It's the first time I have ever put them in my personal "no" category. If anyone wishes to accuse me of hating Sweden, feel free, but I'd like to point out that they have missed my top ten only six times since 2000. I think it's a real shame that this won as Sweden can normally deliver amazing entries and this really does not deliver on any level. I am actually disappointed with Sweden this year, and if this is the best they can come up with after winning last year, then I hope they don't win again for a while so they can get back to producing amazing entries.

I read your comment this morning and decided I just ignore it, but it has bugging me all day. Sorry to say - such utterly stupid and pointless comment especially coming from you. From hearsay you started a rumour about Frans being "a very unlikable guy". "people are telling me", "apparently he is being really rude" etc. For what purpose do you comment crap like this? Taking your usual anti-Swedish sentiments out on Frans? For me, this is the first time I heard of anything in this direction. Not even a slightest hint have emerged. On the contrary he won much on the image of being down to earth, simple, relaxed and honest. Most people understand intuitively how a 17 year old boy behave and can relate accordingly. Some 17 year old's are fully grown up individuals, some are still kids. Frans goes to school every day. He was worried what his mates would say about him being in Melodifestivalen, but was relieved when everything quickly returned to normal. This is his world, what does he care about amateur ESC bloggers? Obviously he's a shy guy in transition to be a man. Your hearsay sources are simply butthurt pricks and your tattle way out of line.

My usual anti-Swedish statements... Instead of addressing your concerns or disagreements, you go on attack mode. I can see through your attempt trying to diminish my character, so that I have to go on 'defense'. Like I'm some kind of shit-talker on here, this was a low blow even coming from you.

I was very clear that this was not my opinion and that several folks in the press center that I was in contact with, shared that impression. You can believe them or not, and I was only commenting on what their impression was. If any negative reaction towards an artist makes you uncomfortable, then I really can't help you with that.

It is perfectly possible that some folks are unfair towards Frans and are overreacting. You could have handled this in a mature manner like others did who pointed out some of the things you did, without resorting to personal attacks. If we can't have a conversation and share people's impressions without being called names, it's

a. counter-productive as it shuts down any dialogue, certainly between the two of us going forward.
b. against the board rules, no personal attacks towards members. Since I don't really have to protect myself, you can say whatever you want about me.

For the record, I don't even hate the song. It's one of Sweden's weakest efforts in years but I actually prefer Frans over Robin Stjernberg. It's probably somewhere in the middle of my ranking.

I'm such a Sweden hater. After I loved Heroes to death last year especially. Of course my 0 is against IKEA!!!!! DEM Ikeas and their complicate instructions. I will give 0 to Frans, that would teach them!

Yes, yes, very funny. Laugh it up. But we're approaching a very interesting internet phenomena here.

Just as pointed out, last years entry was sooo overrated, all about the staging and song was crap. And the year before that, hello, 90's called and wanted their lame ballad back. One of the worst entries in the history of time. And don't get me started on Eric Saade, it was the cheesiest bubble gum piece of crap ever made.

All of these crap songs have scored well and ended up top 3. So obviously someone, somewhere likes it and votes for it. But it ain't the people posting here. It's not cool to be positive and say nice things. It's much cooler to spam the threads about the songs you dislike. Find new ways of express exactly how bad a song can be.

If you want to have a look at me posting positive comments and saying nice things about a song, try the Ukraine thread, the Norway thread, the Czech Republic thread, the Macedonian thread, the Poland thread... I know this may come as a shock, but just because I don't like Sweden (this year for the first time, well ever out of the ones I have heard) I can actually be positive about songs/countries I do like. I loved Heroes; I adore Sanna Nielsen and Undo and the thought that this is their successor disappoints me.

:se: is the new :ru: as orange is the new black. xcat

When Russia isn't singing about peace, then Ukraine is singing about war. When swedish song is crappy, then it's because we all hate Sweden. And when all Europe sings in english, the same Europe says to Serbia that she should sing on her mother language. Azerbaijani song is really good, shame it is actually swedish lost opportunity. And of course, everything on this contest is plagiarism. Good , save us all! Eurovision became a bunch of hypocrisy!

Jesus, the poll is just as unfair and bitter as polish  Its not that bad, I would say better and more listenable than half of this year`s entries. If i was 14 i would give him 12 without second thought XD .I wonder how many 14 years olds are watching the contest. We`ll see lol

Well there is the obvious ESC fan bias against non generic pop songs. Usually Sweden benefits massively from it, this year the bias actually goes against Sweden. It is not that people here hate Sweden. It is that they hate songs that are not generic pop.

Sorry Matt, but you rarely comment on anything here and when you do, to me it appears there's always a negative twist. If we are talking about anti-Swedish sentiments, it's not like the subject is coming out of nowhere. It's been an issue at least as long as I've been following the forum and as I understand it has been going on for years before that. It's just how things are and instead of doing something about it, to me it seems you're fine with it. It really doesn't help when people are trying to rationalize, making excuses or joking away. And about spreading rumours about Frans, yes I think it was a stupid move. See it as a personal attack if you like, it was more an expression of built-up underwhelming feeling.

I'm genuinely curious: what would you like me to do if I find your statement absurd? If the answer is "bow down and accept that I'm wrong," then sorry, but that's not happening.
