Big disappointment when someone sings about the bigger picture and then joins in into the most primitive bullying against a 20year old.
A quick look on his insta proves this is nonsense... But it's not looking good.
Because it was not his turn nor duty to speak. A press conference is between the reporters and the individual artist. It‘s not a „Stammtisch“ where anybody belts out what crosses his mind. Why are some people complaining about Joost in the press conference? Just because he asked "Why not?" when the Israeli singer was told that she doesn't have to answer the question? That seems like a rather minor issue to me.
I don't think the Joost situation has anything to do at all with Israel. Apparently he's been super agressive and unpleasant with a lot of people and Eurovision staff since the beginning. Maybe he went a step too far.
It might have been out of place, but I don't think it's a major issue. People are just very tense now because of the political mess that this year has become.Because it was not his turn nor duty to speak. Surely not. And it‘s pretty clear that this wasn‘t the „incident“ EBU is referring to. Because if it had been, they could just have included that in their statement since it happened publicly. The incident in question happened surely off the public eye, therefore the EBU has to verify what really happened before they go public. It might have been out of place, but I don't think it's a major issue. is there any source for this? it doesn't seem right to judge somebody based on hearsayI don't think the Joost situation has anything to do at all with Israel. it's not a major issue (aka I'm sure he didn't get into trouble over the press conference) but on a purely personal level he came off as unnecessarily rude and smug there which was quite off-putting for me (and possibly other people too)It might have been out of place, but I don't think it's a major issue. A 20 year old is not a child, and she is most likely an artist taking part wilingly (I don't think IDF is putting a gun to her head, especially now that they must save their bullets). And if that's "bullying" then I don't what to say.Big disappointment when someone sings about the bigger picture and then joins in into the most primitive bullying against a 20year old.
