It doesn't mean anything, but I had a dream last night that this won and it had an actually spectacular performance.

We literally saw only a couple of seconds, and pics of the staging, that's it. You act like you saw the entire thing.
I'm even worried if this weird staging will get into the top 10. Let's just send Waylon again, and pay him half a million to do a slow ballad.

Just not with Pancake guy as stage director because I respect Waylon a lot but the staging he got was painfully bad.

If it really is AR, then what do you think it could look like? Poland-esque overlays? Judging by his clip from the first rehearsal, he still has some pretty dynamic LED graphics behind him during what looks like the first verse, so it's not like they can just cut him out from the stage and put him in a virtual world like Greece a few years back.

In less in 48 hours I guess we'll find out lol. I just hope we'll get some form of more audience interaction than we've seen, this has the potential to go huge in the arena.

The guy doing his choreo would be in a mental asylum 40 years ago, and that's putting it lightly. Not my opinion just a fact. This guy has come with so many weird things for Joost and in his PR for himself, the first three most popular google questions about him are all questions why he is acting crazy all the time. I'm not bullshitting; look;

"Why is he so weird", 2nd one "What condition does he have?" 4th one: "What is wrong with him"?

The way the audience reacted when he was mentioned performing on Thursday... I think this will be a race between the Netherlands and Ukraine this year and a similar case as Käärijä and Loreen. United by music, divided by juries.

This song keeps being pushed down my throat by flemish radiostations and his bookmakers disstrack is, well, that. The amount of marketing is starting to become tasteless. You'd think this is belgium's entry because of how much it is pushed. Makes a "eh, not my thing but fine for the genre" song into " UGGHHG NOT THIS CRAP AGAIN"

Actually shocked from watching the performance. What are they doing? Why is he whispering the chorus??? They are only five people on stage, he could have had a backing singer. Why does he only move inside one squaremeter of the stage???? And all those wide-shots. Truly copied Gabbani's homework.

And why did they choose the outro as the recap clip? The outro wasn't the track that has been the most streamed on Spotify since it's release. Same scenario as 2022 with Brividi, where they were too tired to hit the notes that week so they changed the recap part to Blanco's rap bridge. If you don't want to use the chorus due to his weak vocals, use the rave part at least??

Don't know if it's me overreacting, but that is not coming top five in the televote in the final. And it's not coming even close to top ten with the juries. I'm fearing a Blanca Paloma or La Zarra-esque collapse. Finland, Ireland and even Estonia could all eat this for breakfast.

Hearing only worsening opinions from the Arena. He is very popular (top 5) with most if not all younger countries audiences. But the juries just think it's a mess. I keep seeing Dutch media interview Swedish kids and teens, and they all find very sweet ways to basically say it's very weird, and it would never get selected in Melodifestivalen in particular. My guys in the building expect the best outcome would be something even more lopsided that Keiino.

Tumblr, mostly.
This is an authentic Rodolfo Chikilicuatre. When life does you in really dirty and you're a zoomer, this is where you end

date of posting, 1 March 2024.

Not ANOTHER year of hitting the nail on the head on day 1 and gaslighting myself into thinking it can win out of angst.

Knew this was going to be a mess when Gover Meit was appointed "creative director" but hoped it wouldn't.
Haven't watched the performance yet so maybe I'm going to be pleasantly surprised but yeah it doesn't sound all too well.

I watched the performance this morning on TikTok, it's fine, I don't see where all the drama comes from. Vocally it could be better, but aesthetically it's very well done. Easy qualifier and top 10 in the final.

Well I’ve been a fan of the song from the very beginning but the staging is a big letdown unfortunately. And I thought he could sing at least a little bit.

The worst staging part is the dancebreak part. This could have been staged SO powerful.

In general the staging is way to silly. Yes it’s a fun entry but still you can stage it with the right amount of fun AND taste. Like :fi: did last year in my opinion.

I'm obviously extremely biased as this is my favourite by far (together with Greece). But it feels like this winning would be the healthiest option for the future of the contest, this has the most obvious hit potential out of all the contenders and fits right in with the post-pandemic winners.

Very catchy and fun. The music video has a surprisingly tragic ending. 12 points.

Good luck Joost! I'm confident you'll still be one of the contenders after tonights show!
