It's a little weird to me how the fandom picked this one to hate from all the "novelty" acts this year.
I feel like it's one of the two that actually seem authentic and not forced.. that's the one to beat for me.
Dont know if it was mentioned yet but trending heavily on YouTube, in number 1 overall!
All my friends which I showed the song love it.
I agree with that post a 1000 percent. Sometimes I’m really wondering a lot about cliché Eurofans. It's a little weird to me how the fandom picked this one to hate from all the "novelty" acts this year.

I can’t speak for everyone but from my perspective, I’ve been very consistent in my liking (or hating to be more precise) of all these ‘novelty’ songs. It's a little weird to me how the fandom picked this one to hate from all the "novelty" acts this year.

Yes we should hate on loop that is the true novelty actIt's a little weird to me how the fandom picked this one to hate from all the "novelty" acts this year.

'Novelty' entries existed before Cha cha cha too. This year we are getting back to 00s but in a good way so far.
Removing juries from semifinals is one of the reasons this happens but also in national finals it's obvious that people are crazy for such entries. People always liked such stuff but juries in semifinals made it less obvious. Juries are important for Eurovision and you can see the reason this year already.I don’t think anyone has said or try to claim otherwise.
The early 00s Eurovision era - which I grew up with - was certainly from a UK perspective where the reputation of Eurovision was an at all time low because of wacky/novelty songs appearing to be the norm.
It’s why the last few years where the dial has switched to more credible music that it’s improved here - with a lot of help down to Sam Ryder of course - but last year we had several of the top songs all in the charts because Eurovision has become more accessible and credible imo.
Acts like this risk that hard work being undone.

I don’t see the authenticity with this song - it just doesn’t come across to me at all and I don’t know if it will to the general viewers at home. The wackiness will be the main facet they get from it surely?
For me, this, Finland, Estonia and Croatia’s songs are all cynical attempts at trying to copy Cha Cha Cha. They all lack a genuine feeling to me.
That song trending in at no 1, not even in the music category, in the general category (!) is very impressive to me. I think we never really had that with any Eurovision song here. The fact that Joost has more views (3.1 million!) in a single day than any other video uploaded to the official channel I think speaks volumes here. No matter what the fandom think, Europapa has already taken off and now the sky is the limit Watch out.
I feel like what makes the ending so good is the fact that it's so abrupt. It's supposed to give a somewhat emotional whiplash and it does so through the music.I've been fully on board with the weird entries so far this year (Croatia, Estonia, Finland, plus Switzerland if you count that), but this one isn't really doing it for me. The verses are fun, with a good beat (especially in the second), but the song seems to lose a lot of energy in the chorus... and then the rave part's a bit meh, and the ending is nice but the transition to it feels kind of... abrupt? Incohesive? Not sure I'm a fan of his vocals either.
Add to all that that I at least appreciate the song trying to be different, and I'm interested to see how it's done live, and I end up with for now.
