I never said that Kazakhstan is "beautiful" or "modern", I said it belongs to the expanded-Russian culture family and has much in common with countries like Russia, Ukraine, Belarus... so?

Can't you just find other arguments than trying to bash our countries? Kazakhstan's geographically having a part in the European continent is a valid argument. Being within the EBA is another one.

We get revenge by diaspora voting and hopefully bloc voting if Kazakhstan also joins. Sorry but it's not only us who *ucked up the contest, Greece and Cyprus have been doing it for about 30 years, Turkey-Azerbaijan is just a beginning.

I have never voted for Azerbaijan though, but I have no problem with the situation.

Why should Kazakhstan compete in some Asiavision when its culturally, socially and politically part of the "Russian" family rather than any Asian? And oh it already competes as part of Europe when it comes to different sport events, just like Israel does....

I do however agree that Eurovision should not make any further non-European expansions, but considering the things I already mentioned about Kazakhstans relations to Europe (the East Slavic parts atleast) and that it has a part in continental Europe aswell, I just find it hypocrisy excluding them because of some pro-Western European biasism. The Iron Curtain is gone, Europe doesn't end with Germany you know.

I already mentioned that Israel is a special case. Regarding the sports events: I don't like Kazakhstan competing in European sport events either and I don't have a feeling that they share our European culture. I obviously know that Europe doesn't end with Germany but whereas I see Poland, the Baltics, Romania and several others es European, Kazakhstan in my opinion clearly isn't. Regardless of my opinion there also arise other problems like human rights issues, different time zones and so on. It's already so annoying when our footballers have to play around midnight so we can watch it here in Germany at 8.15 pm.

I already mentioned that Israel is a special case. Regarding the sports events: I don't like Kazakhstan competing in European sport events either and I don't have a feeling that they share our European culture. Human Rights issues should also play a role as it is unacceptable that protesters are being jailed while freedom of speech is restricted. I didn't like it last year and I didn't like 2009 in Russia either. Regarding the time I'm well aware that it will always start at the same time but it's not that easy for artists to perform in the middle of the night.

Ukraine is FULLY within the European continent, it's ridiculous to regard the country as non-European considering it's very much a European country... I mean what would it be if not European?

Again, if we should care about Human Rights, then we would kick out atleast 10 countries (including my own country for it's lack of press-freedom and political violence).

Ukraine is fully in Europe and has always been. Russia, on the other hand... Regarding to what A-lister said earlier, all people who have a Russian citizenship are Russians, no matter whether they live in the Asian part or in the European part.
