I have to agree with you. For me the voices simply don´t match well together and the chorus is way to loud and shouty for my taste. The rest of the song is ok but easily forgotten one minute after it ended.

I like the harmonies but the song indeed sounds older than Waterfall (Georgia 2013) and that already sounded a bit dated, although I am a sucker for such songs and I loved it back then.
