11 Jan - 6 finalists, 1 straight to the final, 1 out (votes by the jugdes + the viewers)
18 Jan - same thing again
25 Jan - 8 remaining finalists, 6 are chosen by the viewers only to the final
1 Feb - 8 finalists, the winner chosen by both the jugdes and the viewers

I really like four songs, MAKEA, Clarissa & Josh, Softengine but my favourite must be Mikko Pohjola, what an amazing Finnish song!

I hope we'll get a song in Finnish again or atleast something more genuine/good than the dated Disney-Pop/Katy Perry wannabe horror we got in 2013. Since 2010, I liked every second Finnish entry (so I guess it's time for a Finnish entry I like again in 2014 then! I hope so!). I will still not forgive juries for robbing the 2010-entry (probably the best Finnish entry to date!), and it's a pure shame for ESC that such craps as the 2011 and 2013 entries got more support than the good and more genuine entries of 2010 and 2012!

Voi että... looks like many meh songs, but I shouldn't be surprised.
Let's wait for the full versions anyway...the songs in Finnish in this edition sound very old fashion and boooooring! After all, I don't really mind about the language as far as the song is good.

btw: Shame on YLE, its website is terrible! So amateurish...

Well listening through all the songs i like most of them on the clip i heard. Also most of them seem to fit in with the pattern of songs Finland usually picks (2009,2011,2012 etc) Also following their qualification trend since 2009, I am going to predict Finland will fail to qualify in 2014 - Just edging my bets based on history.

All of the songs are decent, but Mikko Pohjola's is the only which i can say that I really like based on the clip

'On top of the world' is the only song I like and the only one I think would have a hope of qualifying in Copenhagen.

I like the selection of songs, and good on YLE for its easy-to-use website. Often National Final websites are horrible and you can't find the only thing you want: the song. My favourite upon first listening is Jasmin Michaela.

After listening to the snippets, I must say these songs look quite more decent than usually in Finland's NF.

"On top of the world" is the outstanding one. I also like the songs by Dennis Fagerström, Lili Lambert, Hukka & Mama and Mikko Pohjola.

Madcraft, Jasmin Michaela, Hanna Sky, Makea, Lili Lambert and Miau are all good from the snippets I've heard.

My favourite is Jasmin.

Could be a good selection.

Though I know it's hard to judge on only half a minute, the general level seems so much lower to me than last year..
I miss acts more like Arion or Elina Orkoneva :'(

The judges in 2014 will be the same four as in 2013. The 12 finalists will be announced on 10th December. The tv shows on 28 Dec and 4 Jan will introduce the artists and their songs, the live shows will start on 11 January (the first one of four live shows); the final will be on 1 February.

In case someone is interested: those non-live tv shows (28 Dec and 4 Jan) will be available to see one week earlier online. In those shows the 12 artists perform the demo versions to the jugdes only.

So the first 6 songs will be seen this Saturday (21 Dec) and the other 6 the next Saturday (28 Dec). On 1st of January the final versions of the songs will be released.
