Grete Paia go to Copenhagen!! 2013 winner was shockingly horrible! Can't believe somebody voted that crap to wina NF! :(

I love Iiris Vesik too! "Astronaut" the best NF entry ever!

I wish my country sends smth like that! :)

I cant agree at all with that.Birgit was a worthy winner and I thought did Estonia proud. Her vocal and stage aura was superb. The song as well was very very good. The arrangement was a bit dated with the country style however.
Once I got a chance to listen to it in English and understand the lyrics it was obvious why she did win.

Birgit managed to qualify from the hardest semi final, singing from slot 2 with other female vocals bot sides of her.Thats a great performance.

I was in Malmo Arena, everybody around me commented that entry as a sleeping pill, it was horrible to me and to almost all ppl there..just ask a guy from London who was sitting next to me.. LOL..and results in the final say everything, I'm glad it flopped in the end..

I still listen to Pohja Talinn and Grete Paia from Estonian NF this year, they are AWESOME! :)

It didn't flop. It qualified from a tough semi and beat some fanwank favorites in the final. It did much better than most people expected. Birgit herself and others from our team were happy with the result.

Põhja-Tallinn released a new album recently with their new female vocalist. We might see them in EL again in 2014.

It received such a small amount of points in the final, that can't be a success, I'm just honest...and I was in Arena, nobody liked that song in Arena! But OK, each to their own, I just think that in Estonian 2013 NF were songs which could be in TOP 5 in the final in Malmo, considering their and their's concurention quality! :)

She hasn't done anything since EL2011 other than divorcing from her husband. At least I don't recall hearing any new songs etc.

Wasn't her husband a singer in some band aswell?

Well, last time I saw her in anything was performing at Crimea Festival in Ukraine...

Success is a very subjective thing in Eurovision terms. You can see countries like Turkey feeling offended simply by finishing in the top five but not winning, yet some other countries such as the Netherlands are in seventh heaven by just qualifying. Estonia is definitely in the latter group. After a disasterous period in 2004-08 we are happy with qualifying to the final. Anything better than reaching the final is a huge bonus. Especially when we do it with a simple song in Estonian language that nobody on the Internet likes.

Eeeeee exactly whe you have mentioned Netherlands, you can't imagine how ppl liked Netherlands this year in Arena, while Estonia really sleeping pill, everybody around me told me: 'When will this finish?" and both were ballads, and I couldn't hear her singing very well in Arena, it was soo quiet..and in the end jury and public awarded Netherlands with GREAT position caiuse it was GREAT while Estonia didn't receive points, that says smth! ;)

Now on Spotify! After listening it, I don't think there's any potential EL entry so I don't think she will participate.

Also: one month until EL'14 submissions deadline.

Just listened to the album. It has a great sound, but I'm not found of this folk style. I preferred by far the work of Vaiko Eplik.

"Seal, kus jäljed kaovad maast" is a very nice song, despite having a tough title ! It's the best song of the album, with Mina Jään. The song called öö is cool as well. And, :ee: should really have one day a song called Öö. It would be so funny (and night is poetic... So it matches !)

I think the album is a huge disappointment. It's only 30 minutes long + 10 minutes of mediocre remixes to fill the space. Not fan of the songs either, they have a weird sound and feeling. As if Mihkel Raud (I think everything is written by him) wanted to include a bit of Vaiko Eplik's flavour but not too much. Vabaduselauluke (Little song of freedom) is probably my favourite from the seven new songs other than Mina jään.

Well she annoys me now, but there isn't anything else interesting to show for the moment so I keep Nathalie for some time !

True, this is disappointing for Lenna's standard. And indeed I've been shocked by the few number of entries... :)

That's really good. Send it to Eesti Laul please!

It samples/covers Isley Brothers' "This Old Heart of Mine", I doubt it's allowed.
