INFORMATION FOR NEW PLAYERS
After you join the Waiting List, I highly recommend looking for a place for your country. The unoccupied areas implicitly belong to both withdrawn nations, and current WLers. With few exceptions, you can claim any territory you wish. Take into account the geography and descriptions of the geocultural regions above, to find what is most fitting to the concept of your nation. PM me and I'll reserve the area for you. I'm also more than happy to answer any of your questions and give advice.
There is no hard limit on how big or small a nation can be, as long as you're not trying hardcore imperialism.
NSC is farily liberal when it comes to worldbuilding. Current nations range from medieval fantasy, to realistic, to futuristic.

Oh hey there. It's been awhile since I updated this so I thought I should get to it. Not that anyone cared really. ¯\_( ._. )_/¯

*check the first post for UPDATE*

NEW:
-Lukeland and Celinas have been replaced by Doire and Carpatina respectively.
-Xhanostania now has islands around it as requested

TO DO:
-redo the whole map and present new version(s) to community

My new neighbour is less fun than the neighbour i hoped for Eterland. WHY DO I ALWAYS GET NEIGHBOURS WHO DONTT EVEN GIVE A DAMN ABOUT VOTING ME! lol i had to make it in caps lock

I forgot Eterland hurr durrr It doesn't have flag smiley yet so I missed it on rooster. Oh well... My apologies to Eterland, I'm really sorry. ;_;
Anyway I'm not taking any requests now as map will be completely redone. I proposed this, Andrea and lolip approved so woohoo! =D

NO NEW MAP PLEASE!!!!! I appreciate the efforts but this map has been with NSC long before you and I even joined. I'm not against change in general, but this is how it has been for years, why change it now after making enlarged maps for everyone and everyone is happy with their country? It's just a waste of time and effort because I think (and I'm sure the majority of NSC) the map is perfect as it is. I wouldn't shoot down any new designs proposed of course, I'd take a look :D

P.S. you have to make sure Zaprya and Serenate and beloved "neighs" or major **** will go downnnn :lol::lol: jk!

And it's a darn shame too. New map was supposed to be far superior in every way. Size would increase, rivers and mountains would be added, there would be pretty pictures and descriptions in the first post and countries which withdraw would be able to stay on the map. And I guess I'm the only one who thinks current map goddamn hideous.
But yaaaay! Less work for me! =D

First of all, you are doing a great job. I really want to congratulate you. But well, If you ask me "the new map" would be really great. Your ideas sound really cool. But, i'd love not to lose my country's shape and its part in the map. Keeping old countries existence sounds really nice too. But, if it'll be a lot of work for you, then I'm saying a big NO too.

I'm not personally against this new map proposal; in fact I was among those who suggested it at one point a few years ago. (I agree that the current replace-all-defuncts system isn't ideal)
However, back then, it was met with majority disapproval. You should really run these sorta things through a poll first if you can, as it's a community-wide, and fairly important, feature :p

Really appreciate all your work here though Kreso! And judging by comments, it might well be the case that NSC is feeling ready for a map re-design :) But definitely try running it through everyone first, I reckon!

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you Kreso! The biggest thing concerning me is how the majority of NSC would react to the idea without their approval. If a new map was created and was liked by everyone then of course I can't stop it from materalising. Like I said, I'm open to new ideas but I love the map as it is - and obviously you can't please everyone, some people are always going to disagree. Please don't take it personal, I really do appreciate you and your efforts. But I think the number of people agreeing with me is enough to show how loved our map actually is :D I'm not actually against adding rivers, pictures or keeping old countries on the map, I just don't want the present countries to have any major changes to their shape, size and location as I'm sure many would agree :D Maybe a poll can be created?
