Maybe Portugal should consider doing/sending something completely different than what they've done/sent in the past decade. I believe it can be done low-budget.

I want this for my country too. Breaking with traditions.

I'm pretty sure Greece will be in, because IIRC ERT actually ended the past years with a revenue, and of course adding the fact ESC is extremely popular in Greece really lowers the doubt of Greece not participating :D

As a last resort, they can opt for an internal selection. It seemed to be quite successful this year for Serbia, FYR Macedonia and Spain.

I thought internal selections (atleast if also the song is internally chosen) wouldn't be allowed next year?

Bulgaria changes the NF system. 10 songs in the final, 5 produced by BNT and 5 from open selection

Oh, so this rule will really come into effect? I thought it was still a project. Ok then, don't know what to say

Actually, I don't know. However, if I understood the rule correctly, internal selections will still be allowed, as long as the artist atleast presents two entries to choose from. I don't know if two language versions (as in the Serbian selection this year) would count as two separate entries?

I hope that they don't forbid internal selections of acts, because it could be a problem for many countries then.

I understand. Yes, that would be an issue because complying with this system doesn't guarantee quality music and/or good results anyway. Actually, I'd prefer all energy and attention to be focused on one single song than creating mediocre songs just in order not to breach the rule. But if the rule is flexible as you say, it will work ;)

Internal choices of artists will be allowed, but the audience will need to be involved in the selection. So, there will have to be a selection between at least 2 different entries.

However, I am also not sure if different versions of one entry count as 2 entries or not.

I still haven't seen any cast iron evidence that this new rule is actually happening.

There is still a long way till the deadline. Let's hope it'll be almost "full house".
Armenia returns, Montenegro and Slovakia must stay, it'd be good if Poland comes back too.

Really? Any news? Rumors? That'd be great if true.

Um... the national broadcaster stated this a long time ago...
The official version was that Poland withdrew this year because of preparations for Euro 2012, and not because Poland had poor results. TVP said that Poland might come back in 2013.
