As for Norway winning, I don't think this will happen though top 5 is possible (I think more likely 6th-10th). Eurofans always get things wrong but as someone who actually quite likes this entry I can say I don't think it's a good enough song to win. It does have entertainment value that will make sure it ranks well, but I've never seen any evidence in the past that a song can win on that alone. There have been similar entertainment songs in the past and none of them have won (a few have come in second), during much weaker years than 2018, so I would be surprised if this managed to pull it off. Could be totally wrong of course :p

Which similar songs did we have since the reintroduction of juries that came second? Only the Babushki come into my mind..

xrofl Good answer! But you made an error. 2009 was the correct winner! :ugeek:

I don't like Rybak! I din't liked him in 2009 and i don't like him now! But anyway 2009 wasn't a good year for me. Actually i didn't like any song in 2009.

Imho 2009 was a great year. My fave won and my second fave came second. Similar to last year. Only difference was that I put Kostov on #1 and Salvador on #2.

2009 was an amazing year with lots of underrated gems and all-round pleasant experience. I thank my 9-year-old-self-ass for getting me into Eurovision as a whole xheart

Also good thing is that she couldn't care less about the winner being fixed because she was little and naïve, but now she's 18 and sees more into Eurovision than usually... helpT

2009 is in my top 3 best years (not that i've only watched from 1989 to 2017), losing only to 2012 and 2014. i absolutely adore the winner (as noticed) and i would only change three positions in the top 10 tbh

Is he really on drugs, cocaine?! Many people are commenting on this, since National final. I will be sad, if he is, it is dangerous drug. :( He really does look slow, when he is speaking, he is different then he was before. I love this guy, I would be dissapointed even more, if he is drug addict. xcry

I was quite shocked when I first heard this entry as it's coming from one of my favorite winners. As much as I love "Fairytale, I think this one is completely rubbish. The impression didn't change. Even if I look at some other songs that he wrote (and the songs that are not connected to ESC), this one is slightly inferior in that case as well.

Still, the polls are probably right and he might do outstatdingly well. The only sad thing is that it will not be because of the song itself :(

Many people commented that he looked high even after national final, hahaha. Strange rumours about angelic Rybak. ;) I haven't expected that!

Argghh this song has been playing in my head, it's like a disease I can't get rid of! Still not a fan of it to but I'm pretty sure this will be all the kids' favourite this year.

No wonder since it sounds like it could be a composed and written by a kid xshrug

I'd be fine with this in jESC, but in ESC? Nah...

Slowly but surely, this seems to be taking the lead over Cyprus in the odds... I am sure someone who is more au fait with this world will correct me if I am wrong, but according to https://eurovisionworld.com/odds/eurovision it seems that Bet365, Coral and Ladbrokes have all got shorter odds on Norway than Cyprus in the last 20 minutes or so!

EDIT: OK, it seems everyone is following suit!!
