Don't worry, things will change again in the next days. I mean I thought that Israel will be on first place till the end and look now! But as for me, I will enjoy the Moment! :D

Even when I like the song, I actually don't have thje feeling he will. Just like a gut Feeling. I believe that rather France or Estonia will (and I hope so because I like them better).

Well, at least, I agree with you about Estonia and France, I love them both, and they seem better winners. But I don't know, it doesn't seem impossible for Rybak to win. :)

I'm not even going to waste one ounce of my mental energy to consider the possibility that a song as mediocre as this could finish even remotely near the top in a year as strong as this one.

Back to #2 in the odds now; Cyprus has retaken first place. The odds are very volatile this year though, so that could still change many more times before we know our winner!

Think so too. But even when Cyprus is above now (don't like the song) I am glad that Israel finally went down a Little. I thought the song was there like a rock, never rolling down.

What odds are you checking? On Oddschecker Cyprus is holding onto #1 and the odds are even shrinking in Eleni's favor xshrug

The dated basic generic childish radio jingle / TV Shop commercial song / jESC entry (you name it) from mr Rybak is unfortunately second though and passed Israel undeservingly xshrug

I think we saw two different performances then, but tbh I think people put her on a too high pedestal and base the live performance too much on the video and judge her harder than others, I think she did great, the entry is very difficult to pull off live which I think alot of people tend to forget. All the odd vocals are live and she nailed the long-toned powerful vocals. as well.. and in the meantime kept up high energy and good attitude.

You are propably right! I think that people judge it hard because it was the no1 for the win! I would like to see Israel winning of course!

For a few hours last night, Rybak overtook her to first place, but her odds have recovered. Although after tonight's jury show I expect Norway to lead again.

Hopefully. Don't like Cyprus or Israel on top. France or Estonia would be nice, but Norway would be great as well. :D

Nobody I've played this to actually likes it. Could it be just whole Eurovision fandom overestimating the appeal and reach of Rybak?

Even when I really like this song, I don't see it as a winner. But top 10 (or top5) is more than possible. I asked around my friends and they love it. So who knows what will happen?

I'm afraid this pile of crap might actually win, he will probably get the combined televoting 12's from all Scandinavian/Nordic countries + most of ex-USSR (he'll probably win Russia's televoting, and if Russia isn't qualifying, he'll probably win the televotes in Belarus and Ukraine as well as the Russian diaspora pushing him to win the televotes of Latvia and Estonia too, oh and maybe even Moldova and Caucasian countries might give him their televoting 12's and Belarusian and Russian diaspora in other countries as well like Poland, Czechia and Lithuania will probably influence those countries votes aswell). The biggest problem is that the song is so bad, and people vote for the person because he is "charming", has "charisma", good performer and yadda yadda... yes it's true, he has all of that, but this should be a song contest first and foremost, sure you need to sell your song convincingly, but if a song that has quality of bottom 10 wins only due to the performer, then this contest is no longer a song contest but purely a performer contest. I can see him also winning among kids and grannies and lower class 40+yo people in Western Europe, now I don't believe grannies vote that much, but kids definitely do.

So yeah, unfortunately for Eurovision, this might win since I don't think the juries have the stamina, let alone the actual expertise in music, to bloc this from winning, they probably jive along with this TV Shop jingle as we speak xcry

This goes same with me and my family and friends. They have said that song is not anything special, bad and not even catchy. :)
