I think there are more people that remeber him! Cannot believe that only 0,01% of voters was watching Eurovision in 2009!

What about Dana International in 2011 and Lena in 2011?
It was even worse regarding Lena, as she didn't score as much as she did back then. Given that Rybak's entry is worse than Fairytale, I believe that he won't do well. That's it.

Maybe you are right but still i expect at least something on staging that will get votes for him!

I think his fan base (fan girls?) will be super determined / dedicated to vote as many times as it's possible, children will like it too.

I believe it has high televote written all over it though as much as I hate it. If Yodel It! did well in this alone than it should do much better, especially with Rybak persona.

Like Jacques Houdek's song Yodel It was more like a crazy combination (rap + yodeling) with an over the top performance. I don't see a lot similarities between those two acts.

yodel it! was an ott standout, a lot of viewers *cough* me *cough* love these kind of entries
THYWAS isn't a standout really. It will probably qualify because Rybak is a great performer and can lift up the song like how he did at mgp. I just wonder what he will do without the green screen.

Let's not forget - for many outside of the ESC-hardcore-fan-bubble, this is a family show. Rybaks song is very family-friendly and could do very well with the televote from people who see it for the first time.

This song is bound for biggest improvement from fan polling to ESC scoreboard.
#We don't like the song, because it is song for small children. But small children and their parents will love it.

Got any examples for children songs in the last years?
If your theory is correct, shouldn't so called children / family songs have a much stronger televote in the final than in the semis? Maybe only hardcore Eurovision fans would let their kids watch the semis because it is normally school next day.
