As a person who lives not far from :kz: I can surely say that it is so UNFAIR to accept :au: and to ignore :kz: :? :kz: is closely to Europe, besides they also are quite fond of eurovision..

The only reason i dont want Kazakstan in Eurovision,
is the ussr block voting.
Puting in Kazakstan, we increase the problem.

Well European Hypocrisy is a illness. EBU will have not positive consequences on this.. Also i guess that :kz: El Alna will complain about this.

Has Kazakhstan even shown any interest towards Eurovision Song Contest? Australia has, and now they were invited as special participants for the 60th anniversary.

Well Australia will increasing the UK blog voting and its almost sure that they will give 12 points to :uk: and 10 to :ie:, and not mentions that now that will open a dangerous political Pandora box.

I can say that we need to remove cyprus, albania and makedonia from eurovision for removing problem.

Yes, but UK and Ireland are only 2 countries,
ussr countries are...10 !
There is a big difference!

They applied since 2007 to be part of EBU and they got refused because they 1º - Are not part of European Area broadcasting and 2º - They are not Europe Consul member as Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia are. But every year they send commentators and broadcast live the ESC. So for me its very unfair let Australia competing as they not are not Europeans than :kz:

Apparently being as far as possible from geographical Europe and not even within the EBU broadcasting region makes a country eligible but not a county that is partly within the European continent...

Some countries/cultures are apparently superior xshrug

I wonder that will happen if some Arabic countries as Iran, Saudi Arabia and Qatar wants to join in now Worldvision Song contest and how the Europeans will welcome to them.

Well, I'm very consistent, I'm against all further non-geographical-European expansion... regardless of what the current rules state. I couldn't care less if it's Australia, China, USA, South Africa or Iran

I can't get why everyone is talking about ex-USSR block vointg? Do you read the newspapers?
:ru: ( which is ALWAYS blamed for block-voting and for recieving too much block points from her neighbours) has already LOST most of her "suppliers" and now only :by: :md: :az: :am: has OKAYISH relations with it, but OKAYISH doesn't mean thatthey will give 12 points to Russia .. so there are no +100500 countries in Ex USSR block now , moreover the rest countries has already made their own little blocks like :md: - :ro: , :az: - :ge: ( :tr:) and so on, and even with existence of such "block - voting" 1 country can't recieve SO MUCH POINTS +10 - +15 not more..

Maybe they will be invited after 30 years covering the contest like Australia. If they were invited now, I bet I would had read this: "why Australia had to wait so long while it took very few years for Kazakhstan?"

Too much drama and tantrum about this, playing a cryingbaby game "Oh, I'm an ex USSR, western countries hate me" xcry1 BS !
