What country are you talking about? Kazakhstan is not Slavic....
I wrote that Kazakhstan belongs to the East Slavic cultural sphere, not that they are ethnically Slavic. However, about 20% of the country are ethnic Russians and around 2% ethnic Ukrainians, aprox 1% are ethnic German. Kazakhstan pretty much belongs to the East Slavic and ex- USSR cultural, social and political sphere, and while they really are a border between Russian Orthodox culture, Turkic and Central-Asian, they are still having most in common with countries like Russia, Ukraine and Belarus rather than China or Turkey. Russian language is still the dominating language in Kazakhstan aswell.
