Could "Aldrei of seint" be the song that unites this site completely?

Without a doubt. I am in love with the opening 20 seconds. It's so Disney but I really do like it.

"Aldrei of seint" is the kind of song that I'd listen to over and over again and it's definitely the best tune I've heard throughout all the selections.

I think it's a very romantic song with a gentle nordic touch.

I don't know if it makes it through ESC, but it's going to be in my playlist for a long while anyway. It's not something to share...

I've listened to these songs for a while now and I still can't find a song that stands out, all of these songs are so unique from each other that I don't know which one's I like and which one's i don't like.

Hopefully the semi finals will help me find a song to root for.

And what's your opinion on the voice of Björn Jörundur?

I also think that I only can determine my preferences after seeing these songs on stage...
In the last two years I wasn't impressed by the Icelandic ESC song itself...
Ég á lif was a bit boring for me and Prejudices wasn't my cup of tea BUT both acts were really good on stage.
Eythor Ingi just has a fantastic voice which upgraded the song a lot, maybe the best voice of all participants in that year and Pollapönks performance were funny and entertaining and I think they got much sympathy from whole Europe.
That's why I'm very relaxed regarding the Icelandic NF.
I confide in the skills or the entertainment factor of the artists

I only really like Hinemoa and Sunday. The rest is mostly average schlager mehness.

My only two favourites
1. Hinemoa - Þú leitar líka að mér : So sweet, so soft, so comfy. I love it, but I don't think it'll work in Eurovision :(
2. Stefanía Svavarsdóttir - Augnablik : I think she'll win. A strong entry that grows on and on.

I love Þú leitar líka að mér, it'd be so refreshing to see something like this in ESC! I also really like Augnablik, Myrkrið hljótt and Fjaðrir.

Overall, a very good selection xup

A lot of blah songs that don't stay in ear for a long time but I quite liked Augnablik and Þú leitar líka að mér. Hopefully it's one of these two.

I believe that "Aldrei of Seint" and "Augnablik" would be my favourites so far, and they might have the biggest chance of winning too! These are these songs you just cannot hate, you may be indifferent to it, but almost everybody would like these songs to some extend. :p

For now the Icelandic preselection still seems pretty open to me. Probably because all songs are just really really good. I didn't find one song that could be considered bad and each song has it's own different kind of appeal. Just when you get desperate with all the mediocrity we have so far, :is: will always save the day ;)

I couldn't agree more :), I can't say I don't like any of these songs, and I have to vote in a week...

I just hope that we won't send a ballad, Björn og félagar and María Ólafs are OK, I'm talking more about a ballad like Stefaní Svavars and Regína Ósk, but I like those songs as well...
