I know, I totally agree with you. I would so love for Asgeir to take part in Eurovision but I know that's a far fetched dream and probably he would not do well, since his songs are so different from what you usually hear in the contest. But I think that he is one of Iceland's most talented musician. Here is a footage of his concert in a music festival in France. Enjoy

"This is my life" is one of my favourite entries from this century, so I have high hopes to see a change in Iceland. I soooo hated the song last year and the previous years I didn't dislike them, but neither fell in love with any of their entries.

From these singers I only know Fredrik Dór, who is a decent artist and of course Regina Ósk.
I liked her very much 2008 together with this Barney Stinson guy ... "this is my life" is still on of the best Iceland entries ever. Love this Song

The fact that I dont know most of the participants raises the surprise effect. I'm optimistic there will be at least one pearl of a song in which I fall in love

I really liked "This is my life" as well, I am intrigued if she has gone for something as amazing as that. Iceland is one of my favourite eurovision countries, There is nothing I have ever hated from Iceland over the past decade or so. I disliked 2014 at first but it has grown on me quite a lot.

Just to give you guys more info on these contestants I'm going to add some videos here. First off is Regina, which every Eurovision fan should know, so there shouldn't be any need for introduction I loved her song in ESC 2006 Prelims - "Þér við hlið". Her voice is fantastic. I just hope she will get a song that showcases her vocals to the fullest without being outdated.

Stefanía Svavarsdóttir has strong vocals as well. I didn't like the song though that she sang with Jógvan, I think it was in 2013. Here she is singing one of Iceland's classics and she does it mighty fine

Bjarni Lárus Hall, is nicknamed Baddi and he was the lead singer in the band Jeff Who? I am very excited to hear what he has to offer here. I think we could be up for some treat here. Jeff Who's? most popular song is Barfly, and it is very addictive, to say the least

The group SUNDAY, I haven't heard of, but Hildur Kristín, one of the singers is part of the band Rökkuró. Here is one song from Rökkuró, called "Svanur" or "Swan" in English. It's not my type of music, but I'm sure this is some people's cup of tea. This doesn't mean that the song in Söngvakeppnin will be similar to this music, it could be totally different.

CADEM which consists of Daníel Óliver and two swedish singers and dancers could either be a hit or miss IMO. Daníel has been living in Sweden for a while, and I'm sure there are some Swedes who recognize him. I think his song "DJ blow my speakers" was rather popular in Sweden! I think it got some radio play, or at least that's what I heard. Again not my kind of music, but I would be very surprised if he will not put on a big show on stage and he will most definitely get votes from the younger crowd.

Elín Sif Halldórsdóttir is unknown to the public. She is very young, I'm guessing 16 or 17 years old. Here is picture of her, that's all I got folks, sorry
