Stop Wait Go has 2 songs this year and one of the song is sang by Friðrik Dór, a very popular singer here in Iceland. This song "Nóttin svört" is on his latest CD. I think he could be one of the finalists, I would be very surprised if that would not be the case.:)

The second song from Stop Wait Go is sang by María Ólafsdóttir. She is not known but she has participated in songs from SWG before. Here is one song, called "Lýsi í myrki", or "Lights up the dark" where she is co-main singer and the song was produced by SWG.

Haukur Heiðar Hauksson, now here is one singer that I can't wait to hear from. He is the singer of one of my favorite Icelandic band Dikta. :D I don't know if you have heard of them, but their genre is rock. One of their most popular song is "Thank you" but that is not my favorite song by them. They have so many good songs that I just couldn't choose, so I'm posting three videos..

The first one is "Thank you".

The second one is called "From now on", one of my favorite;)

And the last one is "Goodbye".

BTW he is a doctor in the ER, so he is the singing doctor:D

Like Regína, Erna Hrönn should be known to Eurovision fans. I love her smile and her voice is beautiful. For some reason I have never connected with the songs she has sang in Söngvakeppnin. They are always too sweet for my taste:? So even if I wanted to vote for her per se, there have always been other songs that I liked more in the contest. But she will singing a song by Arnar Ástráðsson, and it's not for the first time, since she also sang his song in 2011, "Ástin mín eina"

Björn Jörundur, is a very well known singer and a veteran in the music business. He is co-main singer of the band "Nýdönsk" and he has good following. I like the band and he has some raspy voice. Here is one of their newest song "Stafrófsröð" or "alphabetical order". This will be very interesting.:D

He will be singing with 3 others, among them Pétur Örn Guðmundsson, which you should know since he has been taking part so often, mostly as backing vocal and he was the co-writer of "Ég á líf".

And now for the last performer, is the group HINEMOA and I have to admit I haven't heard a single song with this group, so I googled and found them on youtube. The song I am posting is called "Í rökkurró" or "In the quiet of the evening". Two of the singers in the group wrote the song last year "Eftir eitt lag" which Gréta Mjöll sang. I kind of like this song, and hopefully the song they will be performing in the contest will be something like this

Overall I'm pretty satisfied with this year's performers and hopefully the songs will be equally as good. Before hearing any of the songs I'm rooting for Bjarni Lárus Hall, Friðrik Dór, Haukur Heiðar and Björn Jörundur, but that could all change after hearing the songs.;) What do you guys think?

Haukur Heiðar if his song is anything like Dikta's music. Regina Ósk if it's like Euroband. Not really fussed about any of the others at the minute.

Yes, I'm really hoping for something good from Haukur. He is singing a song written by Karl Olgeir Olgeirsson which wrote the song "Lífið kviknar á ný"

I wasn't a fan of that song, so I'm a bit worried.:?

Lifid kviknar á ný is still on my playlist, it's so catchy :D

Fridrik Dór is the guy who sang "glaðasti hundur i heimi" ? :D

I also know Dikta... For unexplainable reasons I almost forgot this band  Always liked their music. However I didn't know that Haukar Heidar is a member

I didn't watch the other videos yet but thanks for introducing the participants to us, Lolinna ;)

I just heard a radio-interview with Hera, the manager of Söngvakeppnin. The following information was revealed:

3 songs from each semi-final goes to the final + 1 wildcard.

No jury-votes in the semifinals, but in the final 50/50.

All the songs will go online in the beginning of the week when the 1st semifinal will be held, so I'm guessing Monday 26th. That's new, usually it has only been the songs who are participating in the first semifinal. I like that change xheya

wow it's so difficult to find a decent song here... :?

My fave is "Mykrid hljótt". Yeah, maybe too ESC-ish for 2015, but sounds really like something Iceland would totally send and it's quite nice.

"I kvöld" is good too, so sweet.

And that's all. The second semi is a mess. There's nothing for me and I'm so disappointed with Regina Osk. I expected something fresh danceable like "This is my life" and I find something completely different and quite boring.
