Just saw all the videos. I don''t know what I exactly expected. I think something similar, but as people stated before me, something is missing. I am not sure if LED would have helped. I liked Italy's performance much more, it was strong and they brought their message across better. But I can't exactly say what France could have made different.

Why should they do something special or "in your face" like subtitles or LED screens ? I think Germany looks horrible for example. And I'm sure I'm gonna dislike Italy's staging too. I don't like being told what a song is about so explicitely. It's like they're trying to put the message into your face, ewww. No thanks.

On the other hand, France kept it simple. They're not trying too much with the message of the song. Kudos to Madame Monsieur for that. I don't think this is going to win or finish in the top 5 though.
No matter the results on Saturday night, they should be proud of themselves. I think the French will be proud of them too.

I think they were nervous for their first rehearsal and it's normal, the second rehearsal will probably be much better with the on-screen rendition and it will be even better the day of the Grand Final with the audience. I'm not worried at all, moreover it looks like people are liking it (Press Center & Youtube).
