What else could they've done with the performance, would you suggest?

Well I don't think it was THEY that were the problem, more like that the message got lost in a way. They could have something that would make it more easy accessible, maybe some dancers or something. I am not sure what precisely, but something that make the message reach out to people that doesn't understand a single word of french and make it a little more memorable.
