One of the best entries this year hands down, together with Italy, France is the other Big 5 country that make something worthy this year, I wouldn't mind this one winning even.

France have had a handful of pretty ok entries since the introduction of the semi system, but this might very well be their strongest yet. The only part that annoys me is the repetitive "Mercy" in the end of the song. I will not go into the message of this song, as I don't care about such naive propaganda, but the song itself is nice and that is what matters to me.

This is great, I could imagine this being played on the radio. I really want France to finish top 5, they deserve it for sending 3 great songs in a row.

I also liked the acoustic version, Émilie's English is so good! Her live vocal is so strong, I can really see this doing well in the grand final

The English Version kills, like 50% the soul of the song.

And why these audiences talking aloud when artists are performing?

Ikr

And you can see it in the ESC shows as well, even during the performances people are more into recording with their phones and possing for selfies to show-off in the social media rather than enjoying the performances themselves. What a waste!

Her vocals are really beyond stunning. I do actually hope that we'll end up in the top 10 in contrast to Alma. :?

Gorgeous ... I wasn't too fond of the song so far, liked it, but didn't love it. It changed. This Version is truly convincing and lovable. Great Performance, great vocals.

France winning at 21/1 is quite tempting actually and I have not played since I was going to bet on Ukraine 2016 as soon as I heard 1944 but decided not to:rolleyes:

I love it, and it would be great winner, but past three years France are ALWAYS doing well with fandom, in top 5 or 10, but they always come low with televote, not good enough for winning. :( I can see same scenario this year, because the most voters don't know French, and they won't understand how the lyrics are powerful and beautiful.
