I am really afraid that Madame Monsieur will meet the fate like that of Maraaya, which topped the ranking games yet is not that successful in real ESC.

But I really believe in this year - classy song with big humanity message.

My bet is on an Israeli win but France is actually first in the ranking game here and a good second on the scorewiz thing... I was thinking around a 10-15th place but it does well in different polls.

I don't think they'll do badly, but I can't see them winning - your 10th-15th place prediction seems about right. While the song is nice, it doesn't have the big impact, the wow moment, that every winner since Loreen has had. Plus, the song doesn't seem to offer a huge amount in terms of staging potential, and France has always been on the weaker side of staging to begin with in recent years.

Of course, there are no guarantees; everything can change when rehearsals start. Based on what we know so far, though, I'm not sure this is a winner.

France is actually on Viral 50 Spotify in Sweden, Finland and Norway (placed 22th in Sweden and Norway and 25th in Finland). The only countries on these tops are Estonia / Czech Republic /France / Belgium and the nordic countries (Sweden Norway and Denmark) . Also in Sweden, during last week it was the 10th most listened song in Sweden on Spotify.

Now i would like to ask you something. Do you think this is a good sign for France or its nothing interesting ?

I think that's good for the televoting. I think this may do similarly as Alma, maybe better or worse. Top 10 would be great, but I'm afraid that the juries will have a hard time digesting this song.

I think this could be a good thing. It means people are liking what they're hearing which will spark interest in the live performance in May, positive reaction towards the song could potentially convert into televotes

I'm not that worried about the juries, the song could do well with them. They seem to like simplicity with effective messages, likely why they put Amir into their top 3 with Dami and Jamala in 2016. Given the simplicity of the Lisbon stage, with the right lighting/camera angles to emphasize key points in the performance and a continued strong live vocal from Émilie combined with a good position in the running order, I could very well see this in the jury top 10 (I think Alma fell with the juries last year because of having to perform behind three consecutive favorites (Belgium, Sweden and Bulgaria) and kind of got lost in the shuffle)

I may be a little bit optimistic but I think everything is possible. We (France) already have the song, now it will depends on the performance that MM will give, on their running orders, surely also on the qualifiers because we know some favorites will stay in the semis, but hopefully, they will shine in Lisbon and reach at least top 10. Moreover, they're now 10 on Eurovisionworld and Oddschecker.

yet, Requiem never achieved any success in France contrary to Amir. This one is in the French top 20 charts since Destination Eurovision.

I hope that they'll perform with an utter amazing yet simple staging this time, as I do assume that there won't be any LED screens in Lisbon.
