Re: FRANCE 2018

Given the stats floating around and the scores from the semis, I'm imagining Lisandro as the international jury winner and Madame Monsieur as the televote winner. Will be interesting to see how things go on the night though.

A two-way battle, hmm... interesting!

That it would be! Though of course that's only if my predictions are right, and given how closely I've been following this NF - and how little I know about the French music scene - I'd say that's rather unlikely

Still hoping that Max Cinnamon isn't winning over someone else ..

The only thing I'm f***ing, is stupid
Re: FRANCE 2018

It's exciting to see France to take the Eesti Laul-route for their national final. Seemingly good quality-songs charting well in their home-country is always nice.
I'm excited for the live-show in this saturday, especially when I haven't herad any of the songs outside of the OK ou KO-snippet. Hopefully they all will do well live.

Re: FRANCE 2018

Oh - forgot to mention earlier, but I'm expecting Emmy to be in the mix as well. Her song stands out a little, and she was close behind Lisandro in the SF1 IJ votes.

As-is, I'm thinking the jury votes will be a rather close top 3 of Lisandro --> Madame Monsieur --> Emmy, with the televotes more along the lines of Madame Monsieur --> Lisandro --> Emmy.

That said, Lisandro could absolutely top the televote too; he's got a more active stage show than the others, and might mop up a lot of the teenage girl vote that doesn't necessarily show up on iTunes purchase charts. Meanwhile, Madame Monsieur could handily win the jury vote if she improves her presentation, or if the jury's reluctant to go against the public hype train she's started putting together in the last week. And I don't want to rule out Emmy in either category, given that she's a bit of a dark horse and France doesn't really have NFs frequently enough to give a clear idea of what the voters will prefer.

TL;DR No idea who'll win overall between Lisandro and MM; I'm pipping Emmy for third, but wouldn't be too surprised if she nabs the win; if it's any of the other five, then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Now watch as Louka or someone ends up winning in a landslide just to prove me wrong

If the televote goes the way I imagine, Lisandro and Max will split up the teen girl vote (though I think they'd lean more heavily towards Max), and Louka and Nassi could split votes because their songs are almost similar in style to each other. Madame Monsieur has built up a lot of momentum over the last few days, Igit could sneak up the middle himself. As for Emmy and Malo', I don't know where they would fit into the televote puzzle, however I feel it could be a close fight for the jury votes

Afaik the televote points will be awarded in Melfest style, so I think Madame Monsieur will win easily.

I decided to listen to all the songs and first of all wow, great national final, great songs - well done France
Apart from Mercy, I really like Eva too, gives me Beautiful mess vibes, which is good, that was my favourite last year. Young, charismatic performer with some killer dance moves. Nassi's song I enjoy too, even though I found his live little underwhelming.

France should get top 10 with Mercy and Eva, I'm sure.

Don't care about anyone else than Emmy, Lisandro and MM. Do you all think they'll be fighting each other without anyone trying to enter this top 3???

Peoples seem to underestimates Max and Igit's chances, i will not be surprise if one of them is in the top 3 or even win !!!
Louka and Nassi's chance seem thin but if they improve greatly their live, they can be troublemaker with Malo'.

Igit may be underrated as hell, but come on... Max is the worst contestant out of the remaining 8.

At this point, we still could be in for surprises as there'll be more jury members this time. The fact both Nassi and Max Cinnamon got so many points isn't reassuring imo, who knows what kind of weird stuff juries smoke? :? They could really hype another act out of nowhere, but I hope not. :?

Regarding televoters, I think it's even more unpredictable because they haven't voted yet. Youtube views and itunes charts don't really document how people will vote. Also, the fact the new season of The Voice apparently starts on the same night puts a big question mark on the total amount of viewers and voters for Destination Eurovision. It'll be interesting to discover which type of demographic will be influent enough to impact on the results.

Don't worry that much about both of these artists. This was only a semi-final with fewer participants who proved to be weak.

Do you honestly think that Max will beat Lisandro, MM and Emmy with the televote and the jury? Seems quite complicated somehow.

I just wonder to whom the fangirls' votes will go xthink Lisandro won The Voice, but does he have a true fanbase? If not, I could see teenagers voting for Max, who's got a song that's more in line with what young people listen to at the moment, even if it's bland af.

I can't see Max winning the televoting part, yet he may do better than some of the acts we are rooting for :?

He won't win. Do not forget about the "Cuxyarmy" who will fortunately hijack the whole televote sequence... xheat
