A country except:
(2001) Denmark,(2002) Estonia,(2003) Turkey,(2004) Ukraine,(2005) Greece,(2006) Finland,(2007) Serbia,(2008) Russia,(2009) Norway,(2010) Germany,(2011) Azerbaijan,(2012) Sweden,(2013) Denmark & (2014) Austria

I think 1 of those: Netherlands,UK,Malta,Iceland,Armenia or Hungary... hmm

I think the Netherlands and Hungary may be the next ones.

I wouldn't mind seeing Poland and Slovenia instead, but that's very unlikely.

Hungary could be it. I don't think The Netherlands will win, not with their current train wreck of an entry.

Poland and Slovenia would be pleasant surprise though, but the juries hate Poland and the public vote hates Slovenia.

Yeah, I read the Dutch entry was not that good. Maybe next time then. Otherwise, any country excepted Hungary would be unexpected to me : pretty much all scandinavia won and I don't see Iceland winning so soon, Central European countries should first focus on qualifying, among the big 6 only the UK and Italy could have their chances, an ex-yu winner is unlikely imo. Or maybe Armenia, if they send a good entry?

You're right about Poland and Slovenia, it's just a wish. ;) Anyway, I'm so eager to have all the songs released xcheer

Why are Poland and Slovenia less likely than Netherlands or Hungary?

Last 10 years of Eurovision

Ukraine (East Slavic)
Greece (Mediterranean)
Finland (Scandobaltic)
Serbia (South Slavic)
Russia (East Slavic)
Norway (Scandonordic)
Germany (Germanic)
Azerbaijan (Turkic)
Sweden (Scandonordic)
Denmark (Scandonordic)
Austria (Germanic)

Netherlands or Switzerland would add another Germanic country to that list.

What's overdue is the victory of a Romanic country (:it: :fr: :es: :pt: :ro: :md: :sm: :be: (Wallonia) :ch: (Romance)). West Slavic havent won even yet (:pl: :cz:), but there are only two of them.
Mediterranean, Baltic and native English countries havent won for a long time neither.

If The Netherlands win, I take it as vengeance of The Common Linnets. That's why, no matter song, Amsterdam to host the contest is always somewhere in my heart. Plus, I don't want anyone to host like Oslo did in 2010. They had the worst stage in late years, and worst opening. Alexander Rybak should've sung "Europe Skies" along with "Fairytale" in the opening. However, the channel gave only 1:30 minutes to Alexander Rybak.

I think France, Spain, United Kingdom, Germany, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Estonia, Ireland, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Romania and Russia (I don't count Greece because of economical issues in the country) could host the contest with good care and nice stage acts including background. So I wouldn't mind any of those countries to host the show. Especially if Russia hosts once again.

Somehow, Italy and Chezc Republic don't seem like to host the show with good care.

I am still in love with Oslo 2010. And the stage is timeless and classy. Videowalls make stages look similar and generic nowadays, Oslo will be remembered y'all

Omg, so you are a false flag user?

I used no flag when I signed up. However, I wanted to protest the things happened in France. So I picked it. But first of all, that is so out of topic. :D

Mlyn I have the feeling that there is a hierarchy between countries because since the jury comeback, only countries with "strong economy" (or money to waste in Azerbaijani case) have won so far. That's just an impression I have, I don't mean Poland and Slovenia are poorer or something, but with that strange series of Scandinavian/germanic countries+two "rich" Eastern countries, I still fail to see a fair opportunity for anyone to win.

I said Austria last year on another forum and got it correct, so this year I'm saying Iceland.

If it's the best entry, then so be it. But it'd be refreshing to see another kind of country winning.

you ruined a perfectly good opportunity to say United Kingdom and get us a win. TOO LATE NOW, I WILL SUE IF ICELAND WIN.
