I don't want a nordic country to win so soon again, unless their names are Iceland, Scotland or Finland.

Poland was NOT just a gimmick entry, though it had some gimmicky feeling to it. I think that the song has a much deeper meaning to it than the lyrics and the performance had, it could have been political, it could have been cultural, it could even be both or none of these two. Even if I had problems liking it, I could see why people did enjoy it, it was fun and stood out enourmisly in this contest. Now the juries didn't like it either, while the viewers pretty much loved it, and that is the Eurovision, you never know what could happen, just better luck next time. :D

Now, I don't think Poland will win next year, but I do think it is time for an eastern european country. I picked Romania in the list above, I have a feeling they will have that song that could bring it to Bucharest soon. Other countries I have a feeling for is Armenia and Hungary, which I think could get their first very soon if they continue with what they had recently. If not an eastern would win this time (even if I am sure it have to be east now, otherwise it will look weird..), it could be UKs turn, or possibly a nordic country again, then Iceland or Norway are most likely. Will be interesting to see what happens in Vienna in may. :D

Please explain to me the deeper political and or cultural meaning of "shake what your mama gave you" :D

ESC 1967 in Vienna was won by the UK. So UK is the first favourite to win ESC 2015.

ESC 2001 in Copenhagen was won by Estonia, and ESC 2002 was won by Latvia.

According to the "-ia rule" of Copenhagen, there is reason to believe that Slovenia, which is also a neighbouring country to Austria, has the best chances to win.

Other than that, Serbia, Armenia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Georgia, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Albania, Russia, Austrian again or someone from Scandinavia has a decent chance to win.

But ESC 2001 was held in Tallinn, a city beginning with a T, and passing the torch to a country beginning with an L.

The T to the L rule of Tallinn indicates, that a country beginning with an N will win, since V of Vienna is two letters apart from T, like N from L.

Countries with an N are: Netherlands and Norway.

Well, I already have a very strong feeling for UK to win. It's just like the universe (or rather the EBU) wants it to happen.

I also think that victories are not completely random.

Considering all the winners since 2009 have all been rich countries? I just feels like it's the UK's times, Considering all those predictions as well as the UK getting the anniversary show. I wont get too excited because I will only get let down by the song when it's picked.

Well, UK is only rich because of Scotland y'all.... so maybe Edinburgh 2016 xlove

:nl: seems overhyped IMO. There are around 40 countries to compete every year and the runner-up hardly ever wins the next contest (that only happened in some early years). It's statistically more likely though that this year's winner is next year's runner-up.....

I think what also might help the UK next year is, that they really want to win it. Half of the countries seem not to eager to win this thing anymore, because of bad economics..... also the most recent winners, like Denmark, are happy not to win too soon again.....

:dk: 2015 already looks like "Tell me who you are"

Agree with the Netherlands, I never really like Calm After the Storm. I still didn't like it after it became mega hyped in the semi's really I think this year so many meh songs were overrated at ESC, while others (especially my beloved Slovenia) were so horribly underrated. I think people assume the netherlands will do really well again because of two good results. Maybe they will with more established artists now willing to go, but me thinks they will be horribly overrated for 2015 like the UK was this year before the contest.

Didn't make the gif, don't blame me. Blame the person who created it, who I assume is the one who owns the website link that appears in the top corner right at the end.

edit: the website link name in the gif though. xrofl3

Oh, I was a huge fan of :nl: 2014 from the very beginning, when nobody had it on their radar, it already was my darkest horse to win.

I still feel a bit sad, they didnt win, but I am sooooo pleased for Conchita.... Calm After The Storm really would have won in any other year.....

But of course, I don't see why :nl: is the favourite for 2015 now. They still have to get through the semis and find an outstanding song first. Remembering how critisized the Common Linnets were by Dutch themselves, I think it's very difficult for them now to find someone who wins ESC. Because they would have to hate their own entry and not be too excited about it.

Yes I agree. The Netherlands is enjoying the best presented and sounding song post SF. I don't think it will win. But a top 5 would not surprise me at all.

What more can I say y'all?

When the hell did I say that? It was presented very well, the simplistic staging fit the song perfectly. Doesn't mean I actually did like it. Any similar comments is me caught in hype as well.

Scandanavia, Germanic Europe or UK you can book it now. Its more predictable than the televoting days because at least the televote countries were spread through the entirety of the East.

Romania is the most overdue a win and Bosnia but neither will happen. We'll have to await the EBU fave come May like we did with Denmark and Austria. Austria to the point where pre-show favourite with bookies Armenia was essentially ostracised when it came to any attention from the hosts or the media.

Malta and Ireland could also be in to win. Especially Malta, if they please the EBU with their JESC, could get rewarded with a much bigger prize.

Let's face it - Warrior sounds like a Eurovision Top 5 to me.....
