AshleyWright :pl: with Doda xheat

If only. I'm afraid Carrie has been selfish and said Iceland. That's 2015 down the toilet.

I would say France,
but with the current situation,
i am not sure about it.

That's nice of you to think about us, but we're never able to do things right. Avoiding the last place in the final would be quite an achievement to begin with

What kind of poll? : "Who will eventually bomb the most?" I prefer waiting for the song and artist before getting excited by this good news!

Well I'm sure The Netherlands is down to The Common Linnets so people voted while hyped up, and the masses of Brits on here voted for the UK.

Just make fun of you GRE xkiss But I didn't notice France was 3rd... Anyway people who voted for that were trolls  If only we could fight for a victory someday... :(
AshleyWright lol Yes, the poll is biased. :D Personally, I wouldn't rule out your country, just follow the path you've taken last year.

tuorem I don't find it likely that we'll see a French win this year either, but your national broadcaster has now moved Eurovision from their third-to-main channel to their main one, right? Or something like that? Assuming I'm not remembering that news completely wrong, isn't that a positive sign?

ZoboCamel Yes, the broadcaster France 3 was indeed replaced by France 2, which means more financial means and maybe a wider public exposure for the contest in our country (since France 3 is considered a second-class channel for the elderly). I think the good news is that this change was certainly due to both poor results and viewing rates, so people are finally well aware of the fact that it has to change now. However, we have yet to see what type of entry France 2 will come up with, it's not just a matter of broadcaster, if the selection process (or the tasteless people who make it) stays the same, we won't see any improvements on the final scoreboard.

But I'm not pessimistic, just skeptical. These people will also be responsible for changing people's negative opinions about the contest, and that may be achieved thanks to various factors : quality entries, credible artists, better promotion around the contest, commentators who take their job seriously, and above all learning from our mistakes after a potential failure. So there is a lot of work to do, that's why France is very unlikely to win for now.

Mlyn I suck at finding replays , the links I've got are broken since the airdate is too old... :( And no one seems to have recorded it.
