I hope Czech Republic breaks the curse this time and qualifies.

Eurofans seem very underwhelmed by now but I think that will change when Latvia and Estonia have chosen their right songs. :D

So looking forward to "Goodbye to Yesterday" and "Love Injected"

I also expect Loic Nottet from Belgium to have a major song, as well as the host country.

JamieBrown I can't even imagine the mental breakdown of the Czech delegation if they end up receiving 1 point only.
Mlyn PREACH! Let's hope we'll have these songs in!

Based on what I've seen so far (chosen songs/current NFs/chosen artists) it will be either :cz: or :se:. Last year I was sure it would be Hungary but they don't have any winner material I'm afraid. :(

Yeah - :cz: and :se: seem like potential winners, though my #1 guess right now is :es:. Still, there's a lot up in the air - a few months ago I thought it'd be :fr: or :hu:, but at this point I highly doubt we'll see a 2015 win from either of them, so things could change just as much again if we get a great song from a country that's been quiet so far (:am:, :rs:, :uk:, :it:, :az: etc).

You said you've seen the songs, right? I know you can't say too much since it hasn't aired, but do you think there's anything in there that does have a chance of winning Eurovision again? Or reaching the top 10, for example?

Nah, I didn't hear another winning song. But you never know :p Top 10 is possible. So is last place.

Out of these I can only see :am: trying hard (as always). I think Azerbaijan might cool for a few years following 2014. :'D UK is always hyped but it never goes anywhere. Italy could potentially be a threat but idk, they just don't seem to be into it. As for Serbia, I'm expecting at least 2 ballads there, but I really can't see it doing as good as Molitva (yes, I'm saying that without previously listening to the songs. :'D)

Azerbaijan could go either way, I think. Either they'll lose confidence and interest (and, as a result, song quality), or they'll come back with a vengeance trying to solidify their spot in the top 10. I'm remaining optimistic for the UK despite their streak of bad scores, as I think they finally learned from their mistakes last year, only to just stumble upon one of those songs that inexplicably flops despite its quality. I don't think they'll go back to the formula of 'singer who was popular many decades ago', which in itself should help their scores; they just need to find another contemporary singer with a good song and hope that the public will warm up to it this time.

I'm with you on Italy on a personal level, as I tend to find that they're overrated score-wise in almost every year (even when I like them). I'm basing my guess more on the fact that they've been within the top 10 more often than not since their return (or at least, I think they have).

The snippets from Serbia are out, and while they're only five seconds, there's some decent hype in these forums over Bojana's song. I doubt I'll like it more than Molitva, which is perhaps still my favourite Eurovision winner, but there's some decent potential, and I think it's too early to write them off.

In all seriousness, the only potential winner I've heard so far is Latvia's Aminata.

But there are still a lot of countries that could be dangerous: :am::it::az::se::ro::uk: or even :be:

I kind of agree with anselm, normally I wouldn't give it a hope in hell of winning because it's a bit out there, but so far there simply isn't anything as interesting or really worth voting for, except maybe Belarus or Netherlands imo.

Well, firstly it's quite unlikely that NONE of the 30 remaining song isn't even slightly more interesting than what we have now. And then, you need to appeal to a wide portion of people in Europe to win ESC and I'm afraid "Love injection" is just not a song for everyone at all.

Yeah, I know that, but I think to be a winner you need to have some sort of interesting distinction from the rest of the pack... Love Injected is one of the only songs, except maybe Lindita Halimi's from FiK or Heart of Light from UMK, that is not just plain and standard. I don't dispute that the actual winner is yet to come in the 30 odd songs we have left, I just feel that Aminata's song is the most likely to make a serious assault on the voting out of everything we've heard so far this NF season :D

Personally, I think based on what we know, Spain, Czech Republic or (being optimistic and slightly patriotic here) the UK could win this year :)
