Foxes for 2024.
I guess any female soloist would be nice.

Or we could send FLO the group to Eurovision, if that sound like a nice idea.

I recon it will be another internal selection, perhaps we might end up with a well known talent agency rather than a specific label.

BBC Head of Entertainment has confirmed two things:

1. The BBC will continue to use professional bodies to help select our act and song

2. The Semi Finals will remain on BBC One going forward

A positive sign. I'm thrilled they remain on BBC 1, I was astonished by how many people didn't even realise there were semi finals until this year.

Honestly I'm really glad about this move. I don't think we're ready for a NF just yet.

I was one of the ones that was nervous about TaP's partnership ending, and hopefully the BBC have learnt from them. But if our JESC success last year is anything to go by then I'm hoping we are in safe hands.

I know she was in the rumour mill for a bit this year

But I'm just watching Mimi Webb at Reading and now I really want her to go for us one day

Established, can get a crowd going, can sing live, has some bangers, huge fanbase. I'd be down for it!

I'm gonna say it... I really wouldn't mind Claire Richards representing us AT ALL. I know she comes with the Steps baggage but her latest album is such an ear worm and she has an insane voice... I know it's basically an album of covers, but her own material would make her shine even more I'd imagine...

Would be fun to see the UK send a band again, been a good while since Blue! Prooooobably just because its shorter than three minutes, but remember thinking way back when this was released that it would've been a nice entry:

If you insist on musically talentless gay icons why not Charity Shop Sue

Would be here for this, I don't think Steps should represent us but Claire solo would give her SO much exposure both here in the UK and in Europe. Also, with her amazing voice.she would definitely be securing a big number of jury votes I expect. I feel like she would be the kinda person that would go for it as well, so here's hoping!

Here is a quote from BBC Radio 2 DJ Scott Mills regarding the difference between the UK and other nations regarding Eurovision.

“[H]ere’s where we differ [with other nations]. The thing is, Israel will just send their best popstar. We can’t do that because we have global megastar popstars. It’s a catch-22 situation because people that don’t really understand it, just go, ‘get Adele to do it,’ but it doesn’t work like that! In Israel they’ll send Noa Kirel who has won a ridiculous amount of MTV awards and is a fully fledged Israeli incredible pop star. We don’t have that privilege, or we’re not in that situation.”
