I know its early days still, but the UK are currently favourites to win in Malmo according to the bookmakers.

Still, I am not getting ahead of myself yet.

Wow! This is unprecedented. Typically at this round of the year, the ESC fans are still playing guessing games on who the UK representative is. And now BBC just decided to drop the announcement like that and someone who has recent mainstream success. Hopefully it will be a good song.

That's a good start already. When the song drops, if we're still considered bookies favourites, then I'm gonna get excited.

I've seen criticism over Olly live vocals but from what i've seen, he seems great live ! Overall it's great that such a big name goes to Eurovision but again a big name doesn't always mean big result. I expect something really good from him but people need to remember that there are 36 other countries and also remember that being famous is not a guarantee of success at Eurovision. I don't understand why so much believe the UK has already won. It's way too early.

That being said, i can''t wait to hear UK's entry because i love Olly previous songs with Years and Years, especially King !

From what ive seen speculated, the song is an EDM/80s Pop sort of song, which is the sort of song which will suit Olly well.

Im trying my hardest to contain my excitement and not get ahead of myself, but its hard not too.

I think this particular Twitter/X account may have just cracked it.

Also when Dua Lipa teased her new song Houdini, they did something similar like this, so this might actually make sense.
If I’m reading the clock right it’s 4:05 it’s at, so that part could be interpreted any which way. Rest seems to stack up though

I love how we are all trying to be like Agatha Christie here, trying to work out the little clues they've all left for us all to work out :ROFLMAO:

I think its 1:20 which potentially indicates a release date of January 20th 2024 which is a Saturday, could they do a big reveal on BBC One perhaps?

Given that we know who is doing this well in advance us UK fans haven't otherwise got anything to speculate over/panic about. So we need something!

I know it's early and they don't mean anything (and most bookies are British anyway) but :uk: is #1 in the betting odds.

Kudos to Olly's star power.
It's lovely to get some excitement about the British entry beforehand.
These Occasions are very rare....
