I dunno who was talking about Twitter trolls + Rina being anything to do with the Zoe Ball Radio 2 show this morning, I mean after I shared that Rina tweet I was telling people in this thread that this was going to be such a minor reveal of something unimportant because the BBC hadn't hyped the announcement - and this is the rare occasion it was literally nothing.
When we get anything like an artist reveal, there will be a whole week of Scott Mills or Radio 1/2 DJ's talking about the announcement on Thursday 3rd/10th (it's ALWAYS a Thursday), there will be Twitter posts from @bbceurovision, it will be really obvious. All to suggest there was even going to be some sort of announcement today was an offhand comment from Zoe Ball yesterday morning, not exactly hype central.

You couldnt pay me to listen to 3 minutes of Radio 2 let alone 3 hours, feel real sorry for the eurofans that did that today

As has been said before the BBC isn't going to make an announcement on the Eurovision without at least mentioning it on their social media profiles ahead of time. Chances are this was just a misunderstanding. Maybe the internal announcement was going to be made today to the relevant presenters and shows or today was the day the BBC/TaP chose the act. And somehow that got misread as today being the day of the reveal.
From what Ryder said last year the Beeb left it late into February before they picked him. So it is likely around this time that they will/have selected the act. And as such the fans will learn about it in a few weeks.

I only found out its pancake day because of non british eurofans complaining about all the talk of pancakes instead of eurovision news
I went through 'London St Pancake' today after work - it was quite amusing
Grace Carters song 'Pick Your Tears up' release has been pulled forward for tomorrow evening at 19:00 apparently. Tomorrow was also the day Space Man was released a year ago.
I hate that shes been thrown around as rumour at all because from what i hear of the song I hate it. She has some great songs, this seems to be far from it.

You'd think so, and when we consider the JESC pick to show some consistency. However we're yet to see in terms of ESC whether this was our Schulte moment or not.
