I too am getting too invested in our entry being Rina. Not experienced this before and it is strange. I was sick of our entries being poor etc and doing badly. Then last year changed the scene. I am sure our entry will be good but if it is not Rina I might be just as disappointed as before?

Rina as an interval act would be really underwhelming.

No offence - but wouldn´t be someone like Sam Smith or Adele be a better choice especially since they are bigger + kinda watching Eurovision as well?

I´d like someone like Rina to be :uk: entrant but dunno, as an interval act she would be quite a disappointing choice (from a continental viewer perspective).

No Sam Smith please thanks

They have already performed at the Grammy´s and Brit Awards to summon some demons... next step would be performing at Eurovision to worship satan in front of gays and bike-riding and vegetarian Europeans to be held responsible for the next flood in RuZZia or the Balkans, no?

I think Rina will be an interval act tbh.

BUT if she is singing for :uk: I hope it's a new song and not something from Hold The Girl coz that album is mid af. Where was TAP when she released SAWAYAMA?

Yeah no Rina is far from big enough in the UK to be an interval act. I love her to pieces and I've been a big fan since SAWAYAMA but she's had one Top 40 hit here (as a featured artist) and has one fewer #1 album to her name than the guy we sent to Eurovision last year. I mean despite being around for a few years she was only just nominated for Best New Artist at the BRITs (again, vs Sam). And the less said about what the British locals wrote on the Strictly Come Dancing social media pages when she performed, the better. She's at the same level as people like Freya Ridings if we're totally honest, and at least Freya has a Top 20 hit to her name.

If there's a UK-specific interval act, it will be someone with a big back catalogue of hits with some vague Eurovision connections - hell it might not even a Brit, it could be another Justin Timberlake or Mika type.

I'm aware she's comercially not big enough, yet, but she has become a big LGBT+ icon in the last years. There's 3 shows and multiple intervals, they're not all going to be filled with Adeles and Ed Sheerans.

I am not a homophobe thank you. Why would you say that? I just think he has gone down a strange route recently and is no longer the Sam Smith I fell in love with. It is perfectly OK for me to now dislike someone I used to like but now consider not in my list of people I think I admire. There is no need to make assumptions about me.

You said he’s lost respect from a large proportion of the population - a lot of those people have hidden (or in some cases, not so hidden) homophobic opinions - whether it be casual or realised. I didn’t in any way say you’re homophobic.

I don't know or care about his scandals or whatever but Unholy is a bop and I like this type of music much more than the basic stuff he did in the past. It's nice to see male pop artists like him or Lil Nas pushing boundaries for male pop artists. Male pop artists are way too safe these days imo.

Tbh I just eyeroll when I see celebrities dressing so outrageously, it's an attention grabber and nothing more - and it obviously works. He looked totally ridiculous and it can't have been comfortable at all.
