Tbh I just eyeroll when I see celebrities dressing so outrageously, it's an attention grabber and nothing more - and it obviously works. He looked totally ridiculous and it can't have been comfortable at all.
The whole point is to get people talking about them - and they certainly did it!

Well look at all of us right now. Tbh I wish I had that level of confidence to walk down the street dressed like a total prat.

Not me going through the last two pages trying to work out why Sam Ryder had fallen out of favour with people, and then only realising I was misreading Sam Smith when the death blimp suit pic was posted xstars

So who's getting up at 6:30am to listen to the Zoe Ball Breakfast Show from the very start tomorrow then?

No way i'm waking at 6:30 to listen to a breakfast show for an announcement about an announcement or whatever. I'll read about it later into the day.

I can't seem to quote so it is hard to reply to anyone. I am sorry if I caused sny issues. I have always loved Sam Smith and their music. I hate the gender thing from the perspective that it is hard to conform to from what I am used to. I am an older woman but I will leave that there as I prefer to talk about the UK entry here etc and nothing else

I’m in the office tomorrow and I start at 7:30, so I’m relying on it being nearer the end of her slot for me to catch it!

Yeah, earliest I'll be at my desk is 8am so I'm not sure if I'll catch it or not. But I'm sure some kind soul will share the news here if I don't hear it first.

I'm waiting for her to say "coming up, we have some big Eurovision news, but first here's the new single from Rina Sawayama" and the UK fandom literally implodes

I really got into Sam Smith after their sophomore album (and I loved "Love Goes" .. "Diamonds, How Do You Sleep", "To Die For"; "I´m Ready" were all bops) but "Unholy" is pure evil and I´m not really into the new songs either BUT Sam Smith and whatever artists to collaborate with, would be a great interval act! - There´s even a collab with Ed Sheeran on "Gloris" (the recent album)" :D

The main thing that I'm finding confusing is why has the BBC Eurovision Twitter not mentioned anything about this big news on Zoe Ball's show tomorrow, especially when it should be all about directing more listeners to BBC outlets for the news (i.e. one of their radio stations).

Something seems fishy... It's either something not that major or exciting, or it's people trying start rumours again.

Given the fact Zoe's show leads into Ken Bruce it wouldn't surprise me if any announcement is towards the end of the show

Exactly what I'm thinking. I have seen nothing online about this at all. So at most, it is some minor news. I don't think it'll be anything big. At least not big enough to get up early for.

If it's anything of actual importance it'll be reiterated on the BBCEurovision Twitter account, and if it's even more important it'll be on the actual Eurovision account.

When Sam was announced the BBC Twitter accounts at least told people to listen to Radio 1 the next morning, without an actual warning that wasn't just on Radio 2 it's unlikely to be anything truly important.

...because it's not anything important? An announcement of an announcement.

Maybe it is Sam Ryder, doing Lena, for the UK this year...

All this carnival music at 7:30am on a Tuesday is incredibly trippy and contrast to my typical mood at this hour :ROFLMAO:

Anything important would be hyped throughout the show. I remember the announcement about Sam Ryder doing the NYE show was a guessing game before the reveal.
