Not to mention plenty of places of work have the radio on while at work. I think there will be a lot of people who will hear it across both radio stations

Also, chances are the act is going to be on rotation on Radio 1 and 2 almost all day of the day of announcement and likely put on the stations's playlists up until the contest itself. And if it is a known entity and is particularly note worthy it might end up getting played on other stations and get a News story about it on the Evening News that night anyway on top of the Twitter chatter and the inevitable music video.

No one who wants to hear it is going to miss it, even if they don't get to listen to it/see it till their lunch break or until they get home.

Okay. I know I've been making silly suggestions about who it could be but I've just been watching Dancing On Ice and Luke Evans was performing. He was signed to BMG in October last year. He is on the Ken Bruce on Radio 2 on Thursday. He had an album out late last year, it was a covers album so if it's him it wont be a song from the album but... Who knows... I hope I'm wrong

Mmm, I am not sure, the reveal is supposed to be a big mystery and I'd doubt the BBC would just let it leak by simple scheduling listings.

Whilst I am sure he'll be on Bruce's show on Thursday I imagine that will be after the reveal which likely will happen around 9:30 am as that is when Bruce's show starts and it overlaps with the final half hour of the Radio 1 Breakfast show with the remaining/first 30 minuets of both shows being about it with what remains of Bruce's likely leading up to Evans's interview.

Well with the announcement being upgraded to Radio 1, and its top show of the day, I guess it's going to be either a big-ish artist or a decent enough entry.

It would be great to win next year so that the United Kingdom could host in 2022 - the year which would be The Queen's Platinum Jubilee and the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham! So for this year, I want us to get back on the Eurovision track! I think top 10 is needed, top 5 would be brilliant.

Reading about the shitty new immigration policy that the government have put in for 2021 onwards (which includes the need for touring artists and their associated staff from outside the country to have a paid visa), it sounds like it's going to cost delegations thousands of pounds just to be able to turn up to the contest, so if by some miracle we did win in the near future expect a mass exodus of countries who can't cover the extra expense

Wait... if fewer people could take part... that would mean fewer people able to beat us if we hosted next year which means more chances of us winning two in a row! B'wahahaha! The Dark Reign of the UK at Eurovision shall soon begin none shall be safe from our wraaaaaath! Gemini will finally get their win and then another and then another so much Gemini that It'll make you cry cry baby!!

Just seen the UK has gone up in the betting odds from 34th to 17th.

I dont know what that means, but that is a major indication that it could be a good song.
