Chances are she'll reveal a new album and do material from that, or a bucket load cover versions.

I would say that it feels like we are close to getting the reveal of who it is but then I remembered that time moves linearly so of course we are getting closer!

Still, I feel it'll be a couple weeks till we know for certain, till then we can go crazy whenever someone retweets or follows the BBC Eurovision Twitter page or responds to a question about Eurovision with an emoji.

I've literally never heard of her until I saw the rumour.

And, like with all the other people we've speculated on its entirely likely she is teasing a new album and a new tour; looking on her Wikipedia page she released new material in 2019 (not an album but an EP) so there is a chance its related to that being the precursor to a tour. Besides, I think she is with EMI and/or a label called 'Proto' so unless she's switched to BMG (there is no listing for her on their site I can see) I am going to take this with a pinch of salt.

I don’t understand why she is touring though, she has one song :ROFLMAO:, at least Eurovision would have given her another song for her (likely short) setlist

She really doesn't. Some of her best stuff came after Sax, but it's a common misconception when an artist has one song that is so viral that it is everywhere to think that they have released nothing else so you can be forgiven haha

A quick check on Wikipedia shows that she’s released three other singles, only one of which charted and that didn’t even break the Top 40. I bet the punters are crying out for that #80 smash hit.

They are? What I heard the original tweets were deleted. But, we'll soon see, I hope someone didn't just fake them to cause trouble for her.

Have some decency and at least try to verify the screenshots before posting them here. They're fake.

Yes, I was on my mobile but couldn't check properly. She hasn't posted anything like that and none of them follow her, or her follow them.

Them screens are fake.

They're getting their speech ready for when they are announced as the UK's act, naturally.

Thats how they found Molly who represented us in 2014 if memory serves me correctly. They only did it with them once then the year after we were onto Electro Velvet and the history was made/broken.

I don't think BBC has a big influence over the choice of perfomer, but they could have a bigger control over the choice of song. We might get a great big artist or a promising newcomer, but I can expect BBC pairing them with a song that made us 'ehh'.

Maybe the BBC should look at BBC Introducing.

Some of the talent on there is incredible.

I’m hopeful this collaboration with BMG will work well, but I’m surprised there has never been a connect with BBC Introducing before... Perhaps there might be record label issues, but I thought all/most of the acts are unsigned?

You have a pool of exciting new talent, that would seriously benefit from the exposure to millions of viewers. I doubt we’d send a bad entry and would start to consistently build reputable results... the UK could easily position itself like Italy and start to clock up tops 5s and contend to win (without the fear these days the BBC might have to host consecutively!)...

Anyway, food for thought... I’m looking forward to this year’s reveal!
