I recon the BBC will wait until after the allocation draw next week to give more info about when the UK Entry will be revealed.

As I've said previously I think that they are likely to announce it week commencing the 10th February as its around that time last year they did their selection show. It gives them enough time to build up hype for the act and prepare their excuses in the event that the song and performance fail to resonate with people.

Can you pick "Tave cia randu" from Lithuanian NF, if you are struggling to find smth in the UK?

And include the lady with glasses, from the official video (see my signature) in performance in Rotterdam?

Thanks!

Ive heard that the BBC are likely to announce it in early February on the Graham Norton Show so that makes it the 14th February as the most likely date for the entry to be announced.

You said the entry would be one of the last revealed a few days back, take your pick ;)

The BBC could follow that approach, but its more likely we will see them announcing the song and artist on the show and then performing it live.

I feel that if The Graham Norton Show is where they will reveal the track that will represent the UK the most likely series of events will be that in the days (or possibly week before) they will announce the act and possibly the name of the song in a press release and then on that week's show the act will perform and will get interviewed by Norton explaining why they are doing it and such like.

I can't imagine they'd keep it a total secret till the show itself and then just reveal it like its some magic trick, they'll likely want to build some hype ahead of it.

Incidentally I looked on The Graham Norton Show's site to see who the guests might be on those two dates and it only goes up to the 7th where it lists its musical guest as Alicia Keys who A) I don't think would do Eurovision and B) the song she is performing that night is already out so I don't think she'd turn around on the night and say "Ta-Dah! It was a Eurovision song all along!".

So IF the song and act will be revealed around that time and on Norton's show its most likely going to be on the 14th unless they have the UK's act as a surprise guest on the 7th. But we'll see, I imagine BMG will want the act, whoever it is, to get more of a fan fare when they reveal who it is rather than some press release or a quick clip on BBC 3 or a short Youtube Stream.

Isn't the Graham Norton show filmed well in advance though? So if it was on that, we'd know from leaks already as it would have been filmed. Also, It goes against typical BBC routine to do that, in the past they were always presented on there after they were announced.

I believe they are filled the week of broadcast or possibly the week before at a push. Like I say, I don't think they'd unveil it for the first time on the show, more likely we hear about who it is a few days to a week a head of time and that is the first time we hear it/hear it performed live.

Or Ireland 2020, no, to be fair they are working very hard on it are the Irish broadcaster, they are searching every couch in the nation to find enough money to enter this year. True fact, heard it on Twitter, the person tweeting it had like 50 followers and had only joined Twitter in October so you know they are trust worthy.

13 years ago :uk: got their 12th (and last) win in my yearly ESC rankings.

I still don't understand how Scooch wasn't in top 5, especially in such a weak year as 2007.
