Re: UNITED KINGDOM 2011

That's what Im concerned about though if she does Eurovision, she could open her mouth and offend people and be misunderstood (like Silvia Knight was ).

Out of any random artist that are of medium fame, Id love The Wanted, but I dont guess it'll happen :(.
Silvia was rude!Charlotte just say what she thinks, she would never try to make scandal for popularity in eurovision!
But yes i suppose she will be like Patricia Kaas or Tatoo (big stars) and that is not good in Eurovision!

Even though Charlotte Church is well known she's hardly a massive star xD shes more well known for her singing as a child, Relationship with rugby player (Gavin Henson) & being outspoken

I have a feeling (and I'm probably right) that we're the last country to announce anything

BBC announced on twitter that information on the selection process will be revealed within the next two weeks.

"We've got exciting news to announce about the uk's eurovisoin entry this year. Can't say when, but should be within the next two weeks".

Re: UNITED KINGDOM 2011

was it released late enough to qualify? its good

Yes!Its in her last album, that was released in October!
If she represents Uk,i believe that she will choose some songs from her album, and people of uk will decide and vote which one they want.

Re: UNITED KINGDOM 2011

the problem is when were the songs written
what if they were weritten before certain deadliens?

The rule's just for if a song is played or performed in public somewhere before the deadline I believe :)

Exactly!

The entries could have been written 10 years ago even, as long as they haven't been publically performed or released.

The greek song in 1998,was written before 25 years..
It doesnt matter when you compose the song,it matters when you performe or release it.

Satellite was also an "older" song but it hasn´t been publically performed before February 2010. So it wasn´t a problem.

Yep, actually i remember there was a song in last years Croatian final that was decades old. I would be impossible to prove anyway when a song was written.
