This is a shining example of why we need to change our selection process. Also goes to show that Gemini's 2003 result and subsequent failures were not due to the ridiculous notion of "post-Iraqi backlash".

Nope, just the usual wish-wash of songs. I liked your performer this year, but that is also all I liked.

Aaaand my prediction was 100% correct! He finished last! I didn't post it anywhere but right before the contest begins I said to my family that UK is going to finish last! I got witnesses!
Welcome back to the bottom 5 :p
Sorry but you need something totally different!

I totally agree.

The UK's selection process is a total stitch-up. One evening in February/March, for about an hour and a half, the BBC makes a few good-looking people sing karaoke, then some bozo from the eighties slaps a song in their face and tells them to sing it and the best singer goes through to sing it.

Lord Lloyd Webber, OK, but Pete Waterman? That's just... preposterous! SOOC oOX IOTAP

Another disaster.
2008 - LAST
2009 - 5th Well done Jade
2010 - LAST

Exactly what I wanted to point out...

United Kingdom CAN and WILL place high at ESC and even win it when they do put some effort into it.

I've seen the article in "The Times" whining about neighbours voting for each other and poor UK having no negbours to vote for them... that's crap IMO. You cant place high in ESC with neighbour votes, you need to win points from every country. Just like Germany did this year it's a great example.

Or Ukraine in 2008, didn't always get high points. But it got alot of small points which helped it land 2nd place.

Aside from the fact that Josh has absolutely no personality?

I guess it was deserved. Not because the singer of the performance though, the song was just so unoriginal. In fact I haven't seen the performance before and I thought that compared to the performance the song looked especially bad.

I would've been so happy if Belarus got last but Georgia was crazy enough to give it its 12 points. Seriously, I loved the performance and even the song sounds pretty nice. At least they got 10 points. ;)

If you want to know how he's feeling you could probably ask Scooch, Andy Abraham, Gemini....... ;)
