Well, it's a wake up call for UK/BBC. 2008 - last place, 2009 - a little more effort and 5th place, 2010 - last place again. I guess they'll finally start seeing a pattern here.

Yeh :(
I felt very sad after Scooch failing but not the other 2!

I found nil points very funny! Even though I loved the song and them 2, Chris and Jemma I think they were called!

Josh is really smart and got a great voice, but the song ... because the show is now over I can say it: Holy sh*t! Like a song from awful animators from holiday resort who wants to sound "sooooo happy"!

Josh was good and he is a talented singer, but ... brr! The song was just  .

I would like for Josh to return to represent us sometime with a good song... he would do very well I think. Everyone seems to like him very much :D :D

Yes, he has gotten some fans at least, I also hope for a return maybe with a jazzier tune.

I don't know if I would particularly want Josh to return for returning's sake.

I agree he should definitely be given the chance, but as I've said quite a lot today, a second chance at a proper selection process.

Yes we have an X Factor style contest with unknowns and the final 3 get the chance to work with songwriters (not famous ones, just good ones) and come up with a song that suits them. And then obviously the winner will represent us.

That is just what I think should be done :D

I disagree with an X-Factor lite, I don't see it working with something like Eurovision which has lost its reputation in the UK. I still think an open submission selection is needed.

DO THIS!
We got the same this year - the first time! And who was the winner of this contest? Lena! :D

C'mon UK! Try it! :D

Thank you for liking my idea!!! :D :D :D

I think it would work really well, the profile of Eurovision would be raised with this format which is very popular on other shows. And Eurovision would be promoted for like say 10 weeks - surely cant be a bad thing!!

Unfortunatly I don't even want to bet on the fact that BBC won't really change a thing for next year.
The Turkish fans actualy want anNational final every year but they don't have any luck either.

Well getting the BBC to move their arses is difficult! I still think they like Eurovision and they want United Kingdom to do well but they dont want to be seen to be wasting lots of money on it. Like if BBC spent £1m on it people would go crazy!!!

They won't need a million, but some money on a selection of the performer and also a bit more to get a really good song. Maybe they should search in Sweden we do well in songwriting in eurovision.

Maybe it will help if it's in Germany, especially if Germany has some well-known artist representing them or something. I mean, maybe they'll take this more seriously than when it's in some "Eastern country".

LOL, of course it isn't. I meant that they might have the typical Western European attitude that they shouldn't take ESC seriously because it's some Eastern competition now and well, it has been in Eastern countries a lot lately. Not that I like this kind of labeling myself.

Nor do I, I judge by entries not countries. Although I do admit some countries have a tendency to send songs I like.
