OK I see you hate Dinamo but they are also our representants in EL so we should support them at least there.....

Why should I support a team only because it's from my city and country? :'D RIJEKA FTW! Hope to see them in CL next season. :D

Rusescu is on fire. I wouldn't mind having him back in Portugal, this time on a full term transfer to my Sporting. It might just be a phase and he might be far off the most consistent striker in Europe but anything would be better than Freddy "Nullity" Montero :D We really need a 2nd striker.
But ofc this should only happen after Rusescu helps Steaua becoming Romanian champions.

We don't really need his help to become champions. Liga 1 is so weak that we can win it with the 2nd team with no problems  Rusescu is an important piece to help us reach the European spring, wich is imperative this season. I don't know why Rusescu didn't get a chance at FC Sevilla. Mybe theyt will keep him when he returns in summer.

Because the results of a team from your country helps the team that you support aswell.

In 2006, Steaua Bucharest played the UEFA Cup Semifinals in Middlesborough and we where leading 3 - 0. In the end we lost with 4 - 3 and lost the qualification to the Final. Dinamo Bucharest's fans where celebrating our defeat on the streets. But if we would've reached the Final then the Romanian champion of the next season would've gotten a spot in the UEFA Champions Leage group stage. That champion was Dinamo, so it proved that they where in fact celebrating their team not going to UEFA Champions League.

Another example is what is happening with Italy. The catastrophic results of Juventus in UEFA Champions League has an affect on Inter and AC Milan, because a 4th place finish in Serie A for them is no longer a UEFA Champions League spot....

Well I get why people from countries with crap leagues do that (me and Conor cheered on a team we both hate when they beat Partizan in 2011), but if your national league is good enough *cough*, then I dont see why anyone would support a rival team.

Dinamo is nothing more than a money making machine, they don't care about results as long as they can make good profit out of it. That is not a team, or leadership I will ever support, not even if it makes Croatian UEFA coefficient better. ^^

I totally agree with you. I don't turn into a fan of Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg or Schalke when they play in CL or EL, just because they're from my country. The problem is, that many other teams they play against are even worser.

Since my team is far away from playing in an european cup, my interest belongs to scandinavic teams, Arsenal and Dortmund.

Agree, if I have an aversion against a team, because the players are unsympathic or the fans are arrogant or whatever I can't simply push on a button and suddenly root for them when they play in a Champions League match.. that's just hypcritical and inconsequent. It's still the same team, same people, just in a different competition.
At the moment I don't care about Germany's UEFA coefficient... we are around 15 points ahead of Italy and surpass them every year so there is no reason to be worried. Sometimes I even have Schadenfreude to see German teams fail (especially Wolfsburg or Schalke) ... maybe there is a bit frustration and jealousy inside me :D
Whatever, since I don't have aversion against any German club except of HSV I mostly root for the German clubs or I'm neutral

That's the weird part of my love to football. As a fan of Cologne (maybe you're lucky that we beat you yesterday, because now you have a new coach ;) ) , I'm getting sympathies with Mönchengladbach and Leverkusen, as they have an attractive play.

But my dream is to see Werder, Freiburg and Cologne (of course) back in Europe. At least 2/3 of them have fight against the relegation this year :(

I like Leverkusen as well in terms of their football. Their stadium and their fanbase is boring and Leverkusen is (probably) a boring town, BUT it's really entertaining to see this team playing. This kind of hyper-aggressive pressing... that's what makes football attractive. Another reason why I like Leverkusen is they have two players who grew up in Bremen (Brandt & Bellarabi) and Bellarabi even lived in the same district as me.

I personally couldn't have sympathies to HSV because I had too many conflicts with fans from them and made some bad experiences. And the argument "attractive play" doesn't work anyway in case of HSV

Yes, I miss our big matches in Champions League and Europa League. In the last years no Bundesliga club couldn't imitate the success we had 2009 when we reached the final of Europa League, not even nearly. Probably Wolfsburg won't even reach the quarter final. Gladbach might be a title contender if they keep their brilliant form

I think unfortunately we won't see neither Werder nor Freiburg in Europa, I guess both get relegated :( I think our new coach Skripnik is able to improve some things but the main rivals like Paderborn, Cologne, Frankfurt are already far ahead of us ... but Hope dies last

We suffered a debacle in this match, unfortunately. This was too strong opponent for us at this point, especially after the emotional draining after the victory in the derby. I am proud of the team, because we didn't surrender. They had weaknesses, the match was prepared in a great way, but they are much better than us so they deserved this victory as they were dominating through the entire match. One Demba Ba costs like half of our team. This is our reality, and anyway, somebody has to trash us like this once in a while.

We have to give our best in the remaining 3 matches, so that we represent the club in the best possible way, and if we get some points, great, if not........well, our primary goal is still satisfied, we played the Europa League group stage.
