Rio Ave :pt: 2 - 0 :dk: Aalborg Boldklub

Thanks to Kiev winning in Bucharest, we're through to the next round despite the loss. Phew...

This group has been night and day for us:
Home: 3 wins, goalscore 5-0
Away: 3 losses, goalscore 0-10

I lost about 80 bucks because of that match, shame on you guys. :(

:at: FC Salzburg 5-1 Astra Giurgiu :ro:

well done! :D hoping for a decent enough draw on Monday.

Astra's goal was amazing!

Despite that, I'm still not happy with today's results overall. If it wasn't for PAOK losing at home, I'd have made ~2000€ in bettings. :(

Absolutely disgraceful decision by UEFA referee against Karabakh. We were robbed.

World media about that catastrophe

UEFA Europa League, Group stage:

:ro: Steaua Bucharest - Dinamo Kiev :ua: 0 - 2
Yeah! Rio Ave helps us, but we can't hel ourselves. This is all due to the lack of competitors in the national league. The other teams need to invest or else, Steaua would win the league every year and that's it. We would become a sort of Sheriff Tiraspol.

:at: FC Salzburg - Astra Giurgiu :ro: 5 - 1
That hurt I guess! Now we must hope that FC Salzburg won't get more than 3 points in the European spring, in order for us to get two teams in the UEFA Champions League.

It's a pity what happened to Qarabag, though if I was gonna bet on that game I would have 100% placed a tie (especially coz Inter didn't need the game, and with the Italians it's always like that). Though, too bad that St. Etienne didn't get a tie against Dnipro (6 ties would have been cool ) another one I would have called a tie. xshrug

I think UEFA wanted to support Ukraine! But it is not fair at all. Dnepr goal was from of-side however 100 % goal (Qarabagh vs International Milan) became off-side and we end up 3 rd place. Which is not fair at all. Usually haters talks about Azerbaijan "cheating" but when it turns back.... where is Justice EUROPE?!!! everybody quite! Keep it up.

that's probably because over here more people care about Eurovision than the UEFA Europa League. #lateanswer

speaking of Europa League...

next set of games is on tomorrow and my local team (Red Bull Salzburg) will face Villarreal away... sadly can't see a scenario happening where we do not get hammered though. :(

I wasn't very interested in Tuesday and Wednesday CL matches, but today is a quite different situation. Unfortunately, Legia and Liverpool will play their matches at the same time :( Anyway, I hope that both will win tonight :)

Anyone watch the Celtic VS Inter game? What an incredible match it was, and a great show by Celtic to come from 0-2 down get a 3-3 draw.

Well, Spurs had the potency of a flaccid penis in that match.

:it: Fiorentina 2 (3) - (1) 0 Tottenham Hotspur :en:

Absolutely abysmal performance.

I think that Turkish team deservedly advanced to round of 16. It's sad that our European journey in this season, is already ended.

:pl: Legia - Ajax :nl: 0-3 (0-4 agg)
I don't know, how to comment it.

Holy shet I just noticed there are 5 teams from :it: in the round of 16...
I think we will see an Italian team in the final this year. Napoli and Roma have great chances to win it, I'm not sure about Inter...

We Germans set our hope on Wolfsburg... today they were extremly harmless but they didn't have to make efforts considering they won the home match 2:0. In general they are very very strong they are fantastic in Bundesliga and didn't have lost for 13 games or something. The offense is insane with players like Schürrle and de Bruyne and Dost as a great poacher

And then there are still teams like Everton and Sevilla (who were very lucky against Gladbach by the way) who are contenders for winning the EL
That's what I love on Europa League, you never know who will win the cup :)

Gutted about Celtic's defeat last night. So close to a massive upset. At least they went out with more dignity than Tottenham and Liverpool!

UEFA CL:

Real Madrid - FC Schalke 3:4

Aaah what a pity for Schalke, they were so close to eliminate Real after the 0:2 loss in the first leg... Real just defended in the last minutes and Schalke only would have needed some minutes more to score the 5:3
I wonder what's is wrong with Real Madrid? They are also awful in the Primera Division the last few weeks :?

That game screamed "set-up"!! The coefficient for a tie was 6.50, can you imagine for Schalke's victory??
