Agree, but fortunately the soccer god was fair this time. Brilliant team play from PSG and they deserve to eliminate Chelsea... finally Chelsea got punished for their destructive and unattractive playing style.
Probably no Premier League team will reach the quarter final. Embarassing considering how much money goes around there... Chelsea was alright in the last years, but Man City and Arsenal were just big disappointments, I don't even talk about Liverpools performance this season

I regret that I wasted my time by watching how Bayern demolished the poor Shaktar side, while there was such an exciting match at the same time

Next week is gonna be interesting as well. Barcelona and Monaco seem to be safe quarter finalists, but Atletico - Leverkusen and Dortmund - Juve are really 50-50 games and maybe one of these will be decided in extra time as well

PSG deserved to go through indeed. Great team play, they were hungry for that victory. Chelsea were very poor.

Regarding the premier league teams, I think it is a reflection on the standard of our league myself. I believe we do have the best league for entertainment, the way the game is played and the passion of it all, but I do not believe we have the strongest teams. Most of the big teams are overhyped.

Two Ligue 1 teams made it to the quarter final, whereas the Premier League is out. That's maybe the biggest surprise

Imo Barcelona or Bayern will win the UCL. Hope they meet each other in the final in Berlin.

Oh no, why Wolfsburg against Napoli already in the quarter final of EL?
I thought this would be a great final ... now one of the big favorites (besides Sevilla) will get knocked out

I have mixed feelings regarding this fixture... on the one hand I always cross my fingers for all German teams (apart of Hamburg, but they didn't play on international stage for a long time and they won't do this in the next years) but on the other hand I have relatives in Italy and they are big Napoli supporters

Atletico vs Real the rematch of last years final.... usually Atletico is very strong against Real and Real is struggling at the moment. However I think, it's only a temporary crisis and Real will recover itself so I think Reals quality will make the difference
Every year PSG is unlucky with draws :? Barcelona is too strong for them
Juventus vs Monaco... Monaco can defend very well but Juventus can do it even better, I think that's a great draw for Juve. Finally the Serie A again has a team they can be proud of

Moreover: Bayern struggle so much against good teams in the last 5, 6 months. 1-4 vs Wolfsburg, 0-2 vs Mönchengladbach, two draws against Schalke, win in penalty-shoot-out vs Leverkusen, loss against Man City and so on...
Guardiola is overrated, he is a very good coach, but not a "special one" like Mourinho. He was lucky to be the coach of the best team of the world with the best player of the current era. The players in Barcelona were ideal for his strategy

Highly deserved victory.
Germans will never be able to reach Spain in football. Money DOES shoot the goals.
Real Madrid and FC Barcelona can buy ANY player in the world because no one makes them work economically.
That's different here in Germany, we have some rules in the financial business.
Probably we have to wait for years until a non-Spanish team enters the CL-final again.

Congrats, Sevilla ans also big respect to Dnipr which really challenged the favorite today.

However, I remember tha in the Round of 16 Borussia Mönchengladbach dominated and outplayed Sevilla in the first as well as in the second leg, they just didn't take their chances... Retrospectively, as a Bundesliga supporter I gotta say that it's a pity that they got bad luck in draw

It's a good draw! Trencin are a strong team and should be tanken seriously, but we are favourites!

FC Botosani - Tskhinvali
FC Botosani are at their debut, but I think they will pass this round.


UEFA Europa League, 2nd round:

Inverness - Astra Giurgiu
Scotish football is strong, but Inverness is not Celtic, so if Astra takes them serious they should pass.

Legia Varsovia - FC Botosani /Tskhinvali
If they manage to pass the first round, Legia will be the end of the road for FC Botosani.

I guess Celtic will win that match without any problems. Stjarnan is out of form and somewhere in the mid-field of Icelandic league. Stjarnans title was a big surprise last year and it turns out that they are not able to repeat this Performance.
