BRING IT ON! BAKU WILL BE HELL TO YOU GUYS! YOU WERE LUCKY LAST MINUTE!

So how did that work out for you? The only thing that was "hell" was the disgraceful condition of the pitch.

UEFA Champions League, 3rd round:

:rs: Partizan - Steaua Bucharest :ro: 4 - 2 (5 - 3 agg.)
And we failed! We had a 2 - 1 lead but a foolish mistake brought us a red card and that was it!

Celtic will play Malmo in the Play-offs. Any Swedes on her for a bit of pre-match banter?

Europa League - 3rd Qualifying Round

:at: Rheindorf Altach 6-2 (agg) Vitória de Guimarães :pt:
:pt: Belenenses 2-1 (agg) IFK Goteborg :se:

Guimarães was a huge disappointment. Their manager moved to Benfica and I guess they haven't managed to adapt yet. The managar ir not adapting well in Benfica either, as they only managed one draw in their friendlies.
Beleneses sort of made history, as it was the first time in 30 years a Portuguese team fielded a team with only Portuguese players in a European competition.

Play offs:

Champions League:

:pt: Sporting CP - CSKA Moscow :ru:

I'm hoping we will revenge their win agains us in the 2005 UEFA Cup final. I think we have a good chance of winning.

Europa League:

:at: Rheindorf Altach - Belenenses :pt:

And Belenenses will meet Altach, who defeated Guimarães. Hopefully they'll get revenge for them :D

UEFA Europa League, 3rd round:

:fr: Saint Etienne - ASA Targu Mures :ro: 1 - 2 (4 - 2 agg.)
A great match made by ASA but the qualification was already lost after the first leg.

:ro: Astra Giurgiu - West Ham United :en: 2 - 1 (4 - 3 agg.)
This is a great succes for Romanian football and Astra has passion, it somehow reminds me of Rapid Bucharest's team from 2005 - 2006 :)

UEFA Europa League, Play-Off:

:ro: Steaua Bucharest - Rosenborg
It's very interesting! Exactly 10 years ago we played against Rosenborg in the 3rd round of the UEFA Champions League and we where eliminated after an own goal scored by our captain, Mirel Radoi. That elimination sent us to the UEFA Cup where we played fantastic and reached the Semifinals. What's more interesting is that Mirel Radoi is now our manager.

:ro: Astra Giurgiu - AZ Alkmaar :nl:
I think Astra can do it, if they play with the passion they showed so far!

Play-off of the Champions League:

Sporting CP 2-1 CSKA Moscow

Sporting played a great match! I would say we were on top of the match troughout the whole game, except for the end of the 1st half when CSKA scored. We had 64% of ball posession and 16 attempts against 8 from CSKA.
The goal they scored isn't good for us obviously, but hopefully we will manage to secure the qualification for the group stage in Moscow, and get revenge for the time CSKA beat us in the final of the UEFA cup on our stadium 10 years ago!

Celtic 3-2 Malmo.

A good result that would have been fantastic had they not conceded a stupid 95th minute goal to give Malmo a sniff in the second leg.

Celtic will pull through this time. I'm guessing it'll be a draw in Malmo.

 Odd Grenland 3 (3) - 4 (1) :de: Borussia Dortmund

The weirdest match I've ever seen. Even better than swedish 4-4 against our national team back then

No no, I can't agree. Nothing beats Germany - Sweden.

If a weaker team manages to make a huge comeback that's definetely weirder. I didnt expect Dortmund to win after they were 0:3 behind but I expected that they will score some goals and they did.

But yes, this match was still weird and very very entertaining  Somebody gotta show this match to an stereotype American who is still sure that "soccer" is boring or a pussy sport. He will have changed his opinion after watching this match.

Unfortunately, with this away win of Dortmund there is no excitement anymore for the second leg. :(

Great comeback for a strong team like Astra! I think they can do it!

:by: Dinamo Minsk v :at: Red Bull 2-0
:at: Rapid v :ua: Shakhtar 0-1
:at: Altach v :pt: Os Belenenses 0-1

We screwed up. xcookie

What's more, Basel's striker Janko got injured.

Somebody gotta show this match to an stereotype American who is still sure that "soccer" is boring or a pussy sport. He will have changed his opinion after watching this match.

Then you might want to show that guy Rapid v Shakhtar Donetsk as well. The number of players suffering bloody wounds after crashing with other players in aerial duels was.... worrying.

:se: Malmö vs :sc: Celtic 2:0 xcheer

Former Werder Bremen player Markus Rosenberg once again scored the important first goal for Malmö. I just love the fact how Malmö manages to beat teams like Celtic, Piraeus (last year) and Salzburg (this year and last year) on their home ground although they have less quality than these teams. Their stadium is a real stronghold for them

I do what I did last year...

MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖ!!

Amazing that they have done it again, 2nd time in a row! So important for swedish football! I feel also that with a good draw, a 3rd place in the group is not impossible to do! :D

But this year it seems like they have to win the CL, to qualify for it :(
