Lol, Celtic had less passes than Iniesta!!

And yet they only lost 1-0 to one of the best teams in the world after a red card. I'm not sure what your point is.

I understand the comparisons to Celtic, but I can't imagine Celtic getting a 4-0 humping at Celtic Park against any team. Steaua were garbage last night.

Celtic - Juventus 0 - 3 this spring...., but I didn't meant that. There are a lot of resemblances betwen Celtic and Steaua:

1. Both tems are UEFA Champions League winners, but both tems have no chance to win it this season
2. Both teams will obviously win their national leagues. Celtic winning SPL snd Steaua winning Liga 1 are more obvious things than Real Madrid winning La Liga, or Borussia Dortmund winning Bundesliga
3. Both teams come from bad leagues with no competition and both teams lost their rivalaries because of financial reasons (Glsgow Rangers and Rapid Bucharest relegated at the Green Table)

Yeah I knew what you meant, and there are a lot of similarities.

About the Juventus result, that was in the last 16, which I can't imagine Steaua ever qualifying for in the near future.

Celtic was defending most of the time. While I don't like how Barcelona plays, on the other hand Steaua was trying and attacking against Chelsea.

:cy: APOEL Nicosia vs. SG Eintracht Frankfurt :de: 0-3

Good match from our team :-) I really didn´t expect two 3-0 victories against Bordeaux and APOEL before this EL-Season.

CL-Group G:
:ru: Zenit St.Petersburg - FK Austria Wien :at: 0:0

I'm still very happy about the first ever point my team reached in CL. And i think we can reach a lot more. We were against FC Porto and Zenit St.Petersburg both times the better team and had good chances for goals. :)

Other austrian teams:

EL:
:at: SK Rapid Wien - Dynamo Kiew :ua: 2:2
:dk: Esbjerg - FC RedBull Salzburg :at: 1:2

Yeah, and how well did that work out? In the CL you have to know your limits, and play to your strengths. That's what Celtic do. There is no point in a team going gung-ho against one of the top teams in the tournament, because you'll get slapped around and have a goal difference that bears striking resemblance to a cricket score. It's suicidal.

Celtic will probably play more attacking football in the Ajax double header, but against Milan and Barcelona It isn't a good idea. Hell, even the top teams play defensively against Barcelona. I seem to recall Chelsea doing it on their way to winning the tournament.

Well, we won against Chelsea 7 months and it was the same Chelsea, only with a different manager! So, probably Jose Mourinho is the bigest transfer Chelsea got this summer, even better than Samuel Eto'o :)

And I think that when a team has nothing to lose they should atack! So Chelsea has 1-0 over you! You have two options: 1. Defend your result and lose 0 - 4; 2. Try to atack and score or try to atack and get a 0 - 4 defeat. I would go for the second option because a defeat is a defeat even with 0 - 1 or 0 - 31 :))))

If you remember whend Middlesbrough reached the UEFA Cup Finals in 2006, in the quater-finals they met FC Basel and they where losing 0 - 3 t one point. Then Steve McClaren sent all the team to atack and Middlsesbrough was attacking with 10 players, FC Basel got lots of one on one chances but they missed. Middlesbrough won 4 - 3 and passed. In the Semifinals, they met Steaua and they qualified with the same scenario 3 - 0 for Steaua, 4 - 3 for Middlesbrough :)) If you atack you can lose or win, if you defend when you already have 0 - 1 you are sure to lose :)

In fairness, Celtic lost the game with only 10 minutes to go, and the gap between Celtic and Barcelona is a big one. Celtic did not sit back after the goal, they pushed forward and had several good chances. Not sure what made you think they defended a 1-0 loss.

I was speaking generally! Of course, Celtic had nothing to do! But you said that is better to defend against big teams! Let's give another example! :by: playing against :es:! They defend until :es: scores a goal and then they continue defending not to receive more goals? What do you get as a team if you only lose 0 - 1 to :es: and not 0 - 10? What is the difference? It's still 0 points! :)

UEFA Champions League, Group stage:

:ro: Steaua Bucharest - FC Basel :ch: 1 - 1
I am happy with the result only because we scored in the end of the match, but we played bad overall and now, we must win in Basel to mainatin chances for the 3rd place!

Seeing the performances by Cristiano Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic, it sucks that either Portugal or Sweden will miss out the WC.

Real Madrid did a great job in the first three rounds, but the biggest credit goes to Ronaldo though. Bayern looks pretty incredible too after three rounds (11 GF, 0 GA).

Meh! It hurts that we received a goal in the last minute but that's it! Now that everything is lost we can play the last two matches for fun!

:pt: Estoril - Freiburg :de: 0-0

What a boring match. I was really disappointed about the play of Freiburg. They did nothing and at the end, two players got the red card. I hope for better matches in future.
