God helped Rijeka today (18.00 CET) against Stuttgart to reach the EL....we'd have two clubs in the next season in Euroleague then.......(Rijeka defends an advantage 2:1 from the first match, so the minimal victory would be enough).....

I think, you will have good chances, because Stuttgart is a really lame duck at the moment. 0 points in Bundesliga.

And good luck for Partizan tonight xcheer

That will be a fun match. Stuttgart is really desperate as they already fired their coach. Let's see how this plays out :D

UEFA Champions League, Group E:

:en: Chelsea
:de: Schalke 04
:ch: FC Basel
:ro: Steaua Bucharest

It is a good draw! We won against Chelsea this spring, but this time we met a stronger Chelsea. I think we can beat FC Basel and Schalke 04 in Bucharest and hope for the best on foreign ground :)

Hard group for Galatasary, being in top two will be harder compared to last year. But Galatasaray will sure be in top 2.

:es: Real Madrid

Yeah! YEAH! YEAAAAH YEAAAAAAH!

Rijeka is in Euroleague:)!

2:2 draw with Stuttgart, that leads our club to EL! We 'll have two clubs in EL (GNK Dinamo Zagreb and Rijeka), so our chances are bigger now.:) :p
Good job, guys!

The draw for groups will be held in Friday.

Surely Steaua are guaranteed last whatever group they are in?

In case no one knows yet, Celtic have been drawn in Group H with ;

Barcelona
AC Milan
Ajax

Worst possible draw, and I'm not looking forward to Celtic getting hammered.

Group H is wow. I feel sorry for Ajax that they always drew teams like Real and Milan in the same group. Now it is Barcelona and Milan.

As I like Steaua Lucian, that isn't a great draw. My Schalke is there and they will probably get eliminated by Basel. Ugh, Basel is a nightmare. xcrazy Group C is the easiest.

Chelsea is Chelsea, we won over them in spring but this is different and we don't really have a chance against them but we will play aginst them in the last match of the group, so they might play with the reserves. CFR Cluj won on Old Trafford last season, because Mnchester United was already qualified so....

I think Schalke is, after CSKA Moscow, the best we could've go from the 2nd pot. I am sure we have more chances to beat Schalke in Bucharest than we could've had against Juventus, AC Milan, Shaktar Donetsk etc..

As for FC Basel, I am 100 % sure we will beat them in Bucharest. CFR Cluj won against them two times last year and we are definetly better than CFR Cluj. And again, I think we have way more chances against FC Basel than we would've had against Borussia Dortmund or Manchester City

UEFA Europa League, Play-Off:

:pt: SC Braga - Pandurii Targu Jiu :ro: 0 - 1 (1 - 1 agg., Pandurii wins 2 - 0 in Extra Time)
This is a great performance! I am very happy for Pandurii as they are their first European season and they made it to the group stage + they sold all their best players this season and still managed to qualify.

:ro: Petrolul Ploiesti - Swansea City :en: 2 - 1 (3 - 6 agg.)
Petrolul played well last night, but the desastruos performance in Wales decided this double.

:ro: Astra Giurgiu - Maccabi Haifa :il: 1 - 1 (1 - 3 agg.)
Astra played bad yesterday aswell. I don't know what happened to them, but they are not the fresh strong team from the begining of the season.

Maybe one or two remis are possible, but i'm sure our players will give all to reach place 3 and continue in EL.

:ru: FC Rubin Kazan 3-0 Molde FK  (5-0 agg)
:tr: Beşiktaş JK 2-0 Tromsø IL  (3-2 agg)

Molde got owned in the end, but after the first match, it didn't really come as a surprise.
Tromsø however, they had some huge chances near the end of the match, and could have gotten extra time if they'd scored on one of them. They didn't play all of their best players tho, and the commentator gave 2 reasons why they chose to do that. First, they have an important match in the league this weekend, and second, they knew Beşiktaş had issues with UEFA, and they might have been gambling on Beşiktaş being banned from the Europa League, which would give Tromsø the spot instead. Pretty risky. However, it worked. Beşiktaş is banned, and Tromsø is in the Europa League group K:

:en: Tottenham Hotspur FC
:ru: FC Anzhi Makhachkala
:md: FC Sheriff Tiraspol
 Tromsø IL

English teams are very popular in Norway, so I expect that the Tromsø v Tottenham match will sell out pretty quickly...

Molde also had an extra chance to get to the group stage, because of Fenerbahçe, but that spot went to :cy: APOEL instead.

It's a good draw for Pandurii because italian teams don't pay to much atention to this competition. Also, I think Pcos de Fereirra are weaker than SC Braga. Dnipro is a great team that will probably win the group. I think that Pandurii can make the some points in this group and together with Steaua they can gather the 12 points we need to have a team directly qualified for the UEFA Champions League group stage :)
